During a pre-AEW Dynamite backstage segment taking place on social media, former TNA star Jake Something debuted under the new name of Jake Doyle as the newest member of the Don Callis Family.
Renee Paquette was backstage, reporting the JetSpeed (Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight) were attacked and taken out ahead of the trios match against The Demand. The Young Bucks and Jack Perry stepped up and faced The Demand, winning the match, but were attacked after it ended. JetSpeed came out to try to make the save. A masked man, who turned out to be the returning Andrade entered the ring, taking them out.
With a new set of lawyers, Andrade was able to get his one-year non-compete from WWE lifted. Believing he was not under any non-compete, Andrade first returned to AEW at the their 6th anniversary show at Daily’s Place back on October 1, attacking Kenny Omega and then aligning with Don Callis. Andrade quietly disappeared from AEW storylines after show.
According to Fightful Select, Jake Something’s TNA Wrestling deal was believed keep him with the company well into 2026, however it actually expired on January 1. TNA had been promoting him for the promotion’s debut on AMC.
