We go to a video package recapping the premiere of IMPACT on AMC this past Thursday night, featuring matches on tonight’s Genesis pay-per-view.
A live shot of Dallas is shown, as Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt welcome us to the show!
The music of AJ Francis hits, as he makes his way out to the ring along with music act Primetime to kick off the first match of the night.
Next up is Rich Swann, wearing Dallas Cowboys gear. He heads down to the ring.
AJ Francis vs. Rich Swann
Francis blindsides Swann and then picks him up for a chokeslam, but Swann counters and then kicks Francis in the face. Francis tosses Swann, but then sends AJ to the turnbuckle. Swann kicks Francis in the face, sending him to the floor. Swann flies through the ropes, but is caught by Francis. He fights off Francis and drops him on the floor. Swann rolls Francis back in the ring. Swann connects with a big kick to the face of Francis. Swann goes for a cutter, but is nailed by a DND from Francis. Francis nails Swann in the chest, as Swann fight back. Swann goes for a crossbody but is caught by Francis and tossed across the ring.
Francis mocks the fans, as they boo him loudly. Francis goes to the floor and pulls out Swann, pushing his chin into the steel steps. Francis rolls Swann back in the ring. Francis goes for a chokehold, but Swann tries to break free, fighting it off. Francis tosses Swann over the rope, as he falls face first on the floor. The ref starts the ten count. Swann starts to stir and try to get up to his feet. Swann makes it back in the ring at nine! The match continues. Francis chokes out Swann with a big shoe to the throat. Francis picks up Swann, but he counters, as Francis then kicks Swann in the face. Francis covers Swann, who kicks out at two! Swann fights out of a chokehold. Francis leaps up to land on Swann, but Swann moves out of the way. Swann kicks Francis and then connects with a cutter off the ropes. Swann comes off the second rope with a 450 on Francis. Swann covers Francis, but he kicks out at two!
Swann is on the top rope, but Francis grabs him and tosses him across the ring. Swann is up on the second rope taunting the fans, as Swann grabs him from behind…Francis hits Swann and sets him on the top rope. Swann tries to fight off Francis and bites him in the arm. Swann tosses Francis off the top, as Swann comes off the top and is hit with a TFL but Francis! Francis covers Swann, but he kicks out at two…Francis picks up Swann and drops Swann with a Styles Clash, to massive boos from the fans. Francis goes for a second Styles Clash. Swann fights back and turns into a destroyer! Swann covers Francis, but Francis kicks out! Swann then comes off the top with a big splash on Francis. Swann covers Francis, but he gets his foot on the bottom rope. Francis comes back and hits Swann with a reverse down payment and then a chokeslam. Francis covers Swann to get the pin.

We go backstage with Gia Miller welcoming Mike Santana, as he will defend the TNA World Championship against Frankie Kazarian in a Texas Death Match. Nic Nemeth will be the special guest referee. Santana says he hopes Frankie brings it tonight. Santana said he thanks all who congratulated him for winning the title. Santana said his daughter called him after he wont the the title on Thursday night. Santana said he is back!
The music of Order 4 hits, as we are back in the arena. Tasha Steelz, Jason Hotch and John Skyler are out first, followed by Mustafa Ali.
The lights go out…we hear a guitar strum. Elijah makes his way out and down to the ring holding his guitar over his shoulder.
Elijah vs. Mustafa Ali
Before the bell, Order 4 goes after Elijah, but he takes them out. The bell rings as Elijah hits the ring. Elijah tosses Ali, as Ali then runs the ropes. Elijah picks him up and powerbombs him! Ali rolls to the floor holding his head. Elijah goes to the floor. Elijah chops Ali and then rolls him back in the ring. Skyler is in the ring, trying to distract Elijah. Hotch then grabs Elijah from behind, but is kicked. Ali then leaps through the ropes, taking out Elijah. Ali rolls Elijah back in the ring and slams him down. Ali works on the left arm of Elijah that was previously injured and required surgery. Ali covers Elijah, but he kicks out at two. Ali works on the left arm of Elijah, bending it back. Elijah tries to fight out of the hold, as he sends Ali to the outside.
Ali is back in the ring and connects with a rolling neckbreaker on Elijah. Ali goes for a standing moonsault, but Elijah gets his feet up. Both men are down. Ali nails Elijah in the head. Both men exchange blows in the center of the ring. Ali slaps Elijah and then superkicks Elijah, but he comes back with a big clothesline on Ali! Elijah then connects on Ali with a knee strike. Elijah covers Ali, but he kicks out at two! Ali has Elijah up and drops him with a death valley driver! Ali covers Elijah, but he kicks out at two. Ali is up on the top. Ali comes off with a big 450, as Elijah moves out of the way…Elijah drops Ali on his head as both men are down. Elijah picks up Ali and kicks him in the chest. Elijah chops Ali and then sets him up on the top turnbuckle. Both men are up on the top. Elijah has Ali up, as Tasha Steelz distracts the ref, but Skyler on Hotch interfere. Ali is up on the top rope. Elijah picks up Ali and drops him with a sky high. Elijah covers Ali, but Special Agent Zero pulls off the ref. Skyler, Hotch and Special Agent Zero are sent to the back. While the ref is dealing with Zero, Skyler and Hotch, Steelz nails Elijah in the back with the guitar as Ali covers Elijah. The ref turns around, hits the ring and makes the three count.

We go to a video package, hyping up the next match, which is Eddie Edwards taking on JDC, as this will be the retirement match for JDC.
The music of The System hits as the entire group comes out. Edwards makes his way down first holding up a Last Dance JDC t-shirt. JDC hugs Alisha Edwards as he then makes his way down to the ring, while Moose and Bryan Myers wave JDC flags from the entrance ramp.
The Last Dance: Eddie Edwards vs. JDC(This is JDC’s retirement match)
We get a small ‘JDC’ chant from the fans. The bell rings as we are underway. Eddie and JDC shake hands. JDC quickly rolls up Edwards, but its only a one count. Both men lock up in the center of the ring. JDC applies an armbar on Edward, but he reverses it and takes down JDC. Both men are up. Both men lock up again in the center of the ring. Edwards sends JDC to the corner. JDC then chops Edwards. Edwards runs the ropes, as JDC sends Edwards down with a drop kick. JDC applies an armbar on Edwards…JDC runs the ropes, sending Edwards down…Edwards chops JDC in the corner, which brings JDC down. Eddie picks him up and chops him again.
Edwards grabs JDC and goes to toss him, but JDC counters with a powerslam. JDC covers Edwards for only a one count. JDC chops Edwards in the corner. JDC is up on the top rope. Edwards kicks JDC in the side of the head, as he is on the top rope. Edwards sends JDC down as he rolls to the floor. Edwards leaps through the ropes, landing on JDC, who goes down. We get a ‘Let’s Go Dango’ chant…Edwards chops JDC and then rolls in the ring, then rolls back out…both men chop each other on the outside. JDC then slams Edwards spine first on the ring apron. Edwards is down, as JDC picks him up, but is sent back first into the ring post. Edwards goes to nail JDC, but JDC moves, as Eddie hits the ring post with his hand…Edwards rolls JDC back in the ring. JDC drops Edwards, as both men are down.
JDC chops Edwards repeatedly. JDC runs the ropes, as Eddie nails JDC with a back elbow…JDC sends Edwards to the floor and then leaps over the ropes, landing on Edwards! Both men are down, as the ref begins the ten count. JDC rolls Eddie back in the ring. JDC runs from the corner and connects on Edwards with a big upper cut. Edwards runs to JDC, but he moves out of the way, hitting the ring post. JDC comes off the second rope with a big leg drop. JDC covers Eddie for only a two count. JDC picks up Edwards and drops him with a tornado DDT and then a falcon arrow. JDC covers Edwards, but he kicks out at two!
JDC is up on the top rope. Edwards comes off, but is caught as Eddie drops JDC with a blue thunder bomb! Edwards covers JDC, but he kicks out at two. Eddie grabs JDC and applies a headlock telling JDC to tap out. JDC starts to smile with a smirk on his face. He breaks the hold…JDC grabs Eddie and applies a Walls of Jericho, as Eddie tries to get to the bottom rope. Eddie counters and then is hits with a code breaker! JDC covers Edwards for only a two count. We get a ‘this is awesome’ chant from the fans. Edwards is up on the top rope. JDC leaps up as Edwards headbutts JDC. Eddie is up on the back of JDC, who then falls backwards on the mat. JDC covers Edwards and covers him, but it’s not enough…JDC comes off the top with a leg drop, but Eddie moves and then nails JDC with a Boston Knee Party! Eddie covers JDC, but he kicks out at two! Eddie hits JDC with a second Boston Knee Party! Edwards covers JDC, but he won’t stay down!
Eddie kicks JDC and picks him up and drops him with a die hard driver. Eddie then nails JDC with another Boston Knee Party and covers JDC to get the three count.

Eddie says something to JDC. The rest of The System come down to the ring. Eddie and JDC hug and say something to each other. the locker room comes out to the ramp way and applauds JDC. Alisha gives JDC a kiss on the cheek as the rest of The System leave the ring. The fans stand to their feet applauding JDC, as he gets emotional. JDC leaves the ring, as mingles with the fans at ringside. JDC hugs Matthew Rehwoldt and Tom Hannifan at the commentary table. JDC shows his thanks to fans, as he is up on the ramp way with the locker room applauding him.
We go to the TNA Genesis injury report.
The music of Ryan Nemeth hits, as he makes his way out and down to the ring. Next up is Mara Sade – the former Jakara Jackson from NXT.
Ryan Nemeth vs. Mara Sadè
The bell rings as Ryan grabs Mara and pie faces her. He trash talks the fans as Mara then applies a sleeper on Ryan, who slams her down. He flexes and then grabs Mara by the hair. Mara fights back as Ryan then runs the ropes. Mara goes for a superkick, but Ryan ducks and rolls out of the ring. Mara then levels Ryan, as she and Ryan are on the outside. Mara tosses Ryan back in the ring, but Mara is then tripped up…Ryan drops Mara spine first on the ring apron. Ryan then saves Mara loves him. Ryan rolls Mara back in the ring and then puts a boot to her chest to cover her, but she kicks out a two…Mara is up and blocks a punch. Mara dropkicks Ryan to the corner. Mara hits Ryan with a big superman forearm. Mara then DDT’s Ryan and covers him, but he kicks out at two.
Ryan pokes Mara in the eye and then slams her down. He tries to pin her holding the ropes, but the ref catches it. Mara sends Ryan down with a slingblade. Mara comes down off the rope awkwardly, as Ryan rolls her up and uses the bottom rope to get the pin, as the ref didn’t see it.

The music of Zaria hits, as she comes out and down to the ring with Sol Ruca.
The lights go out, as the music of Lei Ying Lee hits She makes her way out to the ring with Xia Brookside.
TNA Knockouts World Championship Match: Lei Ying Lee defends against NXT’s Zaria
The bell rings as we are underway. Zaria shoves Lee, as Zaria tries to take her down. Lee is caught by Zaria as she charges at Lee, who is dropped to the mat. Lee leaps off the second rope, but is caught by Zaria and then dropped. Zaria covers Lee for only a two count. Zaria then picks up Lee, but she counters and then connects with a drop kick on Zaria…Lee is picked up and dropped on the top turnbuckle. Zaria picks up Lee and then drops her. Zaria covers Lee for only a two count. Zaria grabs Lee and sends her to the corner, connecting with a back elbow a then clothesline. Zaria covers Lee for only a two count. Zaria applies a Texas cloverleaf on Lee and picks her up and just dumps her on the mat. Zaria goes right back to the cloverleaf. Lee fights her way out of the hold. Zaria goes for a kick, but Lee counters and tries to lock in the STF, but Zaria blocks it. Lee sends Zaria to the top turnbuckle, but she recovers. Lee hits Zaria with strikes and then kicks her. Lee runs at Zaria, but she gets a boot up. Lee runs at Zaria again and pounds on Zaria with hammer fists. Zaria recovers, but Lee comes back with a big pump kick on Zaria and then slams her down with an exploder. Lee covers Zaria for only a two count!
Lee applies a sleeper on Lee. Zaria runs and cannonballs – well of sorts in the corner to get Lee off her back. Zaria covers Lee, but the champ kicks out at two. Zaria picks up Lee and tosses her in the corner. Zaria and Lee fall the apron. Both women exchange blows on the ring apron. Zaria picks up Lee and drops her spine first on apron. Both women are down. The new Knockouts World Tag Team Champs look on from the entrance ramp…Zaria and Lee are back in the ring. Zaria spears Lee, as the ref goes down. Ruca and Brookside check on the ref, as the Elegance Brand rush to the ring. Ruca and Brookside take them down and they fight to the backstage area. Zaria goes for a spear, but Lee moves as Zaria hits the ring post…Zaria then comes back and headbutts Lee. Zaria is up on the top rope, holding her left shoulder. Lee is up on the top and sends Zaria to the mat! Both women are down.
Lee and Zaria go nose to nose, exchanging back and forth blows! Zaria kicks Lee and then picks her up, but Lee DDT’s Zaria. Lee spin kicks Zaria and then picks her up and drops her with a warriors way and covers Zaria for to retain.
Winner and Still TNA Worlds Knockouts Champion: Lei Ying Lee
After the match, TNA President Carols Silva brings the title to the ring as puts it back on Lee.
Zaria extends the hand to Lee, as the music of Elayna Black hits. She makes her way out signaling she wants a shot at Lee for the title.
