An invitation from Nick Aldis has been accepted by AJ Styles, setting the former WWE Champion up for an appearance on the 1/23 edition of SmackDown.
The show marks the final SmackDown before Saturday Night’s Main Event the following evening with just over a week before the Royal Rumble, in which Styles will put his career on the line in a match against Gunther.
WWE is advertising the following for the 1/23 episode of SmackDown, emanating from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada:

- WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contender’s Match: Nia Jax & Lash Legend vs. Kiana James & Giulia vs. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss
