Jake Doyle sustained a torn biceps injury during the world tag team title match during Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.
The exact spot of when the injury took place is not confirmed. However, it is believed Doyle suffered the torn biceps half-way through the match when taking a DDT on the apron from Cash Wheeler, when he (Doyle), held onto the top rope while landing on the apron. Doyle could also heard calling out the injury to Wheeler after it happened.
Bryan Alvarez at F4WOnline also confirmed the injury. At the time of this report, neither Doyle or AEW has addressed the injury.
Doyle and his tag team partner Mark Davis were unsuccessful in capturing the AEW World Tag Team titles from FTR, after outside interference from Jon Moxley, who hit Davis in the head with Continental Championship belt while the referee was distracted.
Prior to signing with AEW, Doyle was known as Jake Something in TNA Wrestling, where he also was known as Jake Deaner, having teamed up with Cody Deaner (Home Town Man) as The Deaners.
