Last Friday’s taped episode of WWE SmackDown on the USA Network, airing from Saudi Arabia came in with 1.26 million viewers and a 0.29 rating in the key 18-49 demographic.
These numbers are up from the previous week, which had 943,000 viewers and a 0.22 rating. SmackDown had been in a three-week ratings slump with viewership under it’s normal just above 1 million viewership numbers.

The uptick in ratings comes after Nielson made yet another change in how they measure viewership. This new change adds, methodology that will pilot ‘co-viewing’ enhancement. According to Awful Announcing, this was done specifically to measure viewer numbers for Sunday’s Super Bowl. Last October Nielson introduced the Big Data + Panel, system which uses massive device-level data from set-top boxes and smart TVs.
