Report: WrestleMania 41 breaks pro wrestling ticket sales record

Brandon Thurston of POST Wrestling has reported that WWE WrestleMania 41 broke prior records for ticket sales revenue in pro wrestling history.

Data coming in from live event trade publication Pollstar revealed that the combined revenue for both nights of the event was $66,074,558, well beyond any wrestling show in history even with inflation accounted for.

The event sold a total of 113,412 tickets across both nights, slightly lower than the total attendance of 118,641 that was disclosed by host venue Allegiant Stadium.

The revenue tops Night 2 of WrestleMania 40 as the highest gate in pro wrestling history, with WrestleMania 32 also holding the record after adjusting for inflation.

The report comes in light of fan backlash to TKO’s strategy of increasing ticket prices for live events to bring them more in line with major concerts and UFC.

WrestleMania will return to Las Vegas, with this year’s event seeing slower sales per WrestleTix as around 37,000 tickets have been distributed per night.

Allegiant Stadium recently promoted a limited-time discount offer on tickets for WrestleMania 41, which takes place April 18 and April 19.
