WWE referee Daphanie LaShaunn recently shared a message to her Instagram following the funeral of her grandmother, grandfather, uncle and cousin who all died in a tragic house fire back on February 4. She thanked the wrestling community for their support.
A GoFundMe campaign was launched soon thereafter with a goal of $180,000 to assist the family with needed expenses who are basically starting over with nothing.
Looking at the list, top donors show as Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Logan Paul and Kevin Owens who all each contributed $10,000. Other high donors include Alexa Bliss, Bayley, Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan who each gave $5,000. Zelina donated $3,000 and Bruce Prichard gave $2,500.
At the time of this writing, 88 percent of the goal, which is $156,916 has been raised via the campaign thus far.
“The funeral just ended, and I could not let this day end without saying something. It’s been like two weeks, and I really have been silent because this has been the craziest thing in my life. The way that you guys showed up for me, I don’t know how much I can ever say thank you. I have a room full of clothes and school supplies and things like that for my cousin. We were able to pay for this entire funeral, get my cousin set up. We were able to just do everything we needed to do. No one needed to stress. No one needed to worry. I’ve never planned a funeral in my life, let alone four.”
