    Atlanta, Georgia (State Farm Arena)
Commentary: Michael Cole and Corey Graves

“Then. Now. Forever. Together.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

Michael Cole and Corey Graves are in the ring, and they welcome the crowd to the show. Corey Graves starts to talk about AJ Styles…

…until Gunther walks out, shouting, “Enough, Corey!” Gunther says he knows these two are trying their hardest, but it doesn’t cut it. Gunther tells them to get out of the ring, get behind the desk, and tell the Netflix audience how great he is. Gunther gets in the ring as the crowd chants, “You tapped out.” Gunther calls them idiots for gathering to celebrate the career of AJ Styles. Gunther thinks it’s disgraceful that there’s a celebration for a loser. Everyone will cheer for losers like Bill Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles. All that matters is that he killed their careers.

Tonight, there should be a celebration for a truly great wrestler: Gunther. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce comes out and shouts, “That is enough!” Pearce’s microphone appears not to be working as he pounds on it. It’s going through to the television audience, but not to the arena. Pearce shouts, “God damn it!” Pearce is with security. Tonight, they’re celebrating a great wrestler. Pearce says Gunther will be escorted out of the building. Gunther says he’ll leave on his own free will because he is disgraced by what will be happening tonight. Gunther leaves the ring, warns the security not to touch him, and walks off laughing.

Gunther poses one last time before Dragon Lee attacks him from behind! Security pulls Lee off, and Gunther angrily charges off.

    Gorilla Position Segment

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce pushes Gunther through the Gorilla Position. Gunther is irate. Dragon Lee attacks Gunther again, and they brawl to the backstage area. Security pulls Lee off, and Gunther is furious. Pearce asks if Gunther is happy and says it’s not his night. “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes walks into the frame and looks at Gunther with disgust before heading through the Gorilla Position.

“The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes makes his entrance to a big reception from the Atlanta crowd. Rhodes stands in the ring and listens to a “Cody” chant. Rhodes poses and looks moved by the reaction. The crowd then starts to sing his name. Rhodes says, “So, Atlanta, I know what we wanna talk about.” Rhodes knows why they’re all here: the one and only, “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles. Wrestling royalty? Sure.

The Vision cuts Rhodes off. Paul Heyman walks out to the stage alongside “Big” Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, and Austin Theory. Heyman tries to speak, but they boo him. Theory says he cannot stand this place. They disrespect the Wise Man and The Vision. Theory says he’s ashamed to be from Atlanta. Paul takes the microphone and says Rhodes isn’t ashamed to be from Atlanta. Just like everyone from Atlanta, Rhodes has zero common sense. Rhodes is insane for showing up on Monday Night Raw. When Bronson Reed wins tonight, then the Elimination Chamber, and wins at WrestleMania, The Vision will take over SmackDown. Rhodes will be the first one out of the door. Paul sarcastically says, “God bless all of you” to the crowd because they’ll watch Reed win his Qualifying Match, starting right now.

Rhodes says he doesn’t know. He’s pretty sure there is someone here who would disagree with that. World Tag Team Champions The Usos come out through the crowd.

Uso rolls out and hits a superkick, but Americano answers with a rolling Liger Kick. Uso quickly fires back with a Spear before going to the top rope for an Uso Splash. 1… 2… 3.

Liv Morgan makes a decision about WrestleMania

Replay: Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer confronted Liv Morgan last week on Raw. Vaquer told Morgan that she should be ashamed of having to hide behind a man and the Judgment Day. If Morgan picks her, Morgan won’t win. Vaquer will show her what a real champion is. This left Morgan in tears for some reason.

Liv Morgan has her head on “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio’s shoulder. Mysterio tells the crowd that they’re in the presence of the greatest Intercontinental Champion and AAA Mega Champion, as well as the greatest Royal Rumble winner of all time. Mysterio asks for the champions to come out so Morgan can make the decision face-to-face.

Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer heads to the ring first. Morgan looks uneasy around her. Coming out next is WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill.

Both Women’s Champions are in the ring. Morgan unenthusiastically says she has decided, but she has something she wants to get off her chest first. Vaquer’s words last week really caught her by surprise. Morgan isn’t used to being that vulnerable. She thought about what Vaquer said all week. Vaquer is right. Morgan didn’t realize how selfish and privileged she is. Vaquer told her that Morgan has had ten years of the best of the best. Morgan didn’t know much about Vaquer’s story. She didn’t know that Vaquer had to scratch and claw for ten years to get to WWE. Now that Morgan knows Vaquer’s story, she is sorry for overlooking her. Morgan has to focus on her story now.

Morgan turns to look at Cargill and approaches her. Morgan then whips around and ROCKS Vaquer with a microphone shot to the skull. Cargill smiles and nods at her. Morgan mounts Vaquer and punches away at her. Morgan hits Vaquer with a codebreaker before picking up the Women’s World Championship. Morgan hits Vaquer with Ob-Liv-ion and holds up the title. They agree to do it for AJ Styles.

    Brock Lesnar appears

Brock Lesnar comes out alongside Paul Heyman. Heyman introduces himself as a Wise Man and an Oracle, but, most of all, as the advocate for “The Beast” Brock Lesnar. Heyman says WrestleMania has traditionally had two main events: the title match and the Undertaker’s Streak. Heyman reminds them that Lesnar conquered the Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania, which means that the main event spot went to Lesnar. Now, the only dead man walking in WWE is the one who comes down the aisle to face Brock Lesnar. Heyman says they’re all asking who will fight Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. An “Oba” chant picks up.

Heyman doesn’t have any predictions or spoilers. Not one person was man enough to confront Lesnar in the locker room. They don’t want the beating they’ll get at WrestleMania. In the effort of full transparency, these are the appearances that Brock Lesnar is going to make on the Road to WrestleMania: San Antonio, Boston, New York City, Houston, and Sacramento. If someone wants the beating of epic proportions, they just need to get into the face of Lesnar.

Heyman doesn’t think anyone will answer Brock Lesnar’s Open Challenge for WrestleMania. If you take a good look at the locker room, you can have all the title matches you want. The real Main Event at WrestleMania is whoever is going to get their ass kicked and conquered by Brock Lesnar. There is no one in the locker room with the balls to take that ass-kicking at WrestleMania from Brock Lesnar. Lesnar and Heyman walk off.

Video: Becky Lynch says AJ Lee can’t compare resumes with hers. All Lee ever did was win a butterfly belt. Lee doesn’t deserve to hold her title. Lee will be the least talented AJ to retire this year. On Saturday, at Elimination Chamber, Lynch will prove how good she is.

Becky Lynch will put the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line against AJ Lee at Elimination Chamber this Saturday.

Offset runs over to check on Evans.

World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk makes his way to the ring. We’ll hear from him next.

    -Commercial Break-

Video: Finn Bálor says it’s been 10 years of what ifs. He has to convince everyone, including the Judgment Day. When Bálor lost to CM Punk in Belfast, he stopped asking what if. Now, it’s when he beats Punk and goes on to WrestleMania. There will be no more what-ifs because everyone will know who is the best in the world.

8x NBA All-Star Dwight Howard is at ringside. Jermaine Dupri is also there. Comedian Funny Marco is shown, as is Bow Wow. Bow Wow has a vintage The Rock t-shirt on.

World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk addresses Finn Bálor

CM Punk says tonight is not about him. He’s here for AJ Styles and tells the crowd to chant his name. The crowd chants for AJ Styles. Punk says he’ll try to make this quick to give AJ Styles enough time to talk to his people. Punk will have his time in front of his people this weekend. Punk says it’s great to be alive on a Monday night in Atlanta. What if that’s the last time he got to say that? Finn Bálor asked what if. What if he didn’t jump Punk in Toronto? What if Bálor didn’t ruin what was unfortunately the last time Punk would share the ring with AJ Styles? The answer is simple: Bálor wouldn’t get a shot at the title. People are wondering what he’s doing. Punk is doing the best he can. Punk is giving the people the fighting champion they deserve, like the people he grew up admiring, like Terry Funk, Harley Race, Shawn Michaels, the Undertaker, Triple H, and more.

Punk doesn’t like dealing in what-ifs for one specific reason. What if Roman Reigns were here tonight? The crowd starts a light “OTC” chant. Punk says what-ifs aren’t rooted in reality because Reigns isn’t here. The crowd boos. Punk says they can’t boo him because he’s here every week. What if he loses to Bálor? No risk, no reward. The reality is, Reigns will be in Indianapolis next week. What if Punk doesn’t wait until WrestleMania and he punches Reigns in his stupid face next week?

Punk deals in facts. Finn Bálor and Roman Reigns can ask what if. Punk doesn’t have to. What if he were the champion? He doesn’t have to say it because he is. Punk doesn’t have to wonder what if he was good because he’s the best in the world. Punk doesn’t have to ask what if he was the Main Event of WrestleMania because he is. Punk is the champ and the Best in the World. He is CM Punk.

Coming up next, we’ll have the Tribute to AJ Styles.

    -Commercial Break-

    The Tribute to AJ Styles

Video: A highlight reel of the phenomenal career of AJ Styles is shown with Creed’s signature song “Higher” playing. This includes footage from TNA and WWE. It’s also sprinkled with tributes from WWE Superstars and Legends, as well as Styles’ family.

“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles makes his entrance for the final time on WWE Raw. Styles has tears in his eyes. Styles high-fives some fans and gets in the ring. Everyone, including the commentators, gives him a standing ovation. The crowd chants, “Thank you, AJ.” It gets louder and louder, and Styles looks moved. Styles says he was going to wear a suit tonight, but the last time he did, he beat the piss out of Cody Rhodes. Styles says he thought this would be easy. If he gets choked up, it’s not because he’s sad.

Styles says he’s so grateful to be in Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up 45 minutes down the road in Gainesville. People don’t get to have a celebration like this when they retire, so he’s thankful for this night. This doesn’t happen often, so he thanks the people. At his core, he’s still the kid from Gainesville, Georgia, who fell in love with wrestling. He wrestled in Gainesville, the Asylum for TNA, and the Tokyo Dome in Japan. He’s also wrestled under the bright lights of WrestleMania. Styles has wrestled some OGs in TNA, including Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, and Frankie Kazarian. They made a mark in wrestling. With some uncertainty, he left TNA for Japan and met some Good Brothers over there. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson showed him what it’s like to have fun in pro wrestling. It’s not serious all the time. If Styles is having fun, the crowd is as well. That’s what it’s all about.

Styles has done almost everything except be a full-time father. Styles’ family is shown at the ringside. Styles says he’s missed birthdays, anniversaries, games, and much more. That’s tough. His flex should be all the World Championships he’s won all over the world, but his real flex is having the best wife in the world. Styles’ wife blows a kiss to him. She never slowed him down or told him to stop. She pushed him forward and held the family together when he had to watch them grow on FaceTime. Styles loves his wife. Styles acknowledges his three kids, including one at home with the flu.

Styles knows things didn’t go the way the people wanted at the Royal Rumble with Gunther. It’s not how he wanted to go, but it is poetic. Not many get to go out where they started. His debut was at the Royal Rumble in 2016. His last match was against Gunther at the Royal Rumble in 2026. People wondered why he didn’t leave his gloves in the ring. Styles is a man of his word. At the end of the day, all we have is our word. Styles takes his jacket off and lays it on the mat. Styles still has his gloves on. Styles didn’t take off his gloves at the Royal Rumble because he wanted to take them back home, get to Atlanta, and leave his gloves at home. Styles takes his gloves off and puts them on the canvas.

Styles says he’d be nothing without the fans. Styles thanks them for the love. The crowd gives him a great ovation as he poses on the turnbuckles. The credits come up. The WWE roster, led by Paul “Triple H” Levesque, comes out to the stage and applauds “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles. A loud “AJ” chant picks up.

    The bell tolls.

The lights go out. The Undertaker rides down to the ring on his motorcycle. The American Badass parks in front of the ring and looks at the man he faced in the final match of his legendary career.

The Undertaker gets in the ring and looks down at Styles’ gloves. Undertaker looks confused. Undertaker asks if he’s just going to leave his stuff here and go. They have unfinished business. Styles looks confused. Undertaker asks Styles if he’s heard of the phrase, “If you see me coming, you’re already gone.” Undertaker changed that phrase because if you see him coming, that means you’re going. Undertaker says it is his esteemed honor to inform Styles that he is the newest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame! Styles smiles broadly and hugs him.

The crowd chants, “You deserve it.” Styles’ family gets in the ring. Styles becomes emotional as he embraces his wife and children. Styles then celebrates as his music plays. His wife holds his arm up as the show comes to an end.

In loving memory of Kerwin Silfies: 1950 – 2026.
