CM Punk took to social media, posting what some are calling ‘risqué’ or a ‘slightly indecent’ photo of himself with the World Heavyweight and Women’s Intercontinental Championship belts, following WWE Elimination Chamber.
Punk will now go on to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42. WWE has yet to announce which night that match will take place.
Punk is mimicking what Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch did back in 2024 after WrestleMania 35. Rollins used the Universal Championship to cover his lower area, while Lynch used the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Titles to cover her top and lower area.
At Saturday’s Elimination Chamber at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, Punk retained the World Heavyweight Championship over Finn Balor and his wife AJ Lee defeated Becky Lynch with the Black Widow, to win the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, her first singles match and title win in over a decade. Her last title win prior, was the WWE Divas Championship back in 2014.
