WWE SmackDown kicks off with clips of Stephanie McMahon and Cody Rhodes on Raw.
Live in the arena, Randy Orton’s music hits and out he comes. A “Randy” chant from the fans and he smiles in the ring. Orton asks the fans what do they want to talk about. He says it’s no secret that this is his home town. He was raised there from a very young man, he still calls St. Louis home and the next time they will see him in this arena, he will have number 15 firmly planted around his waist. Orton says but he is not doing this for them, he is doing this for himself, for his family and for his real home which is not St. Louis. It is the six people in the front row, that is who he is doing it for. He says at WrestleMania 42, he will walk out of Vegas with the Undisputed WWE Championship around his waist. He says Cody Rhodes, whether he walks, crawls, carried, stretchered out of Vegas, Cody is going home from WrestleMania 42 empty handed.
Orton says Cody gave him his blessing, it’s not personal between them. Cody said he can be the viper, to be what he needed to be, to be the best version of himself. He said he can listen to the voices, Orton says he saw the voices talking to him too, he saw him in the ring with Stephanie McMahon. He says Stephanie was not lying when she told Cody that Cody could not beat him. And the voices in Cody’s head are telling him the same thing. Orton tells Cody that Cody is not a killer. What he has awoken inside him, there is no putting back to bed.
Cody’s music hits and out he comes. He gets in the ring and both men with right hands. In comes Pat McAfee from behind and he low blows Cody. Orton grabs a steel chair and Orton gives Pat a microphone. Orton hits Cody with the steel chair. Pat says that the Rams left town, the Blues are not going to make the playoffs, the Cardinals are ass and Randy Orton said that this isn’t his home anymore. It’s a tough night in St. Louis. Out comes Nick Aldis with WWE officials. Pat says about a month ago, he was asked when he was going to return and he said he thought that the business passed him by. He couldn’t watch, he thought it was absolute shit.
Orton hits Cody with the chair. Pat says Orton called him and told him that the business didn’t pass him by, it just went in a direction they didn’t like. Pat mentions the WWE Attitude era fan and he starts to what. The one’s who walked around and said if ya smell, the fans that put this company on their backs to launch it into a multi billion universe, they have been forgotten about. Why is it when he turns on WWE TV, he has to see two five foot five wrestlers do a 45 minute iron man match for five weeks straight when Randy Orton is around. Why does he turn on Netflix and he sees all of gorilla beeping themselves when Randy Orton is around.
He says tickets for WrestleMania are still somehow available when Randy Orton is around. And SmackDown, fresh off the worst rated episode of all time, has a puppet for a Champion. A man that represents everything that they hate. Pat says he is the one on the phone telling Randy Orton that he has to kill everything. It’s because the business that Cody is leading is terrible and Orton will save the f business.
Orton and Pat walk to the back and through gorilla.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Orton and Pat are backstage. Pat says mission accomplished. Orton tells him he needed him in his ear. Pat says sometimes you have to remind people that they are in the GOAT conversation. They get into a pick up truck and they drive off.
Rhea Ripley vs. Michin with B-Fab
The bell rings and we are under way. Rhea with right hands and Rhea spears Michin into the turnbuckle. Rhea with a fall away slam. She grabs Michin but out comes Jade Cargill. Rhea with another fall away slam. Rhea is distracted and Michinwith a release German suplex.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Michin with a guillotine headlock but Rhea reverses it into a suplex. Rhea with a clothesline followed by a kick. Rhea with a drop kick. She grabs Michin but Michin lands on her feet. Michin with a headbutt but Rhea with a headbutt. Rhea lifts her up and she lands the Razor’s Edge. Rhea with a running knee. She goes for the cover but Michin kicks out. Rhea goes for Rip Tide but Michin lands on her feet and Michin with a kick to the side of the head. Michin goes for a cannonball in the corner but Rhea moves out of the way. Rhea with a kick to the side of the head. She lifts Michin up onto her shoulders but Michin with a poisonrana. Michin with Eat Da Feet. She goes for the cover but Rhea kicks out. Michin with a powerbomb. She goes for a pile driver but Rhea with a back body drop. Rhea with the Prison Trap and Michin taps out.
Winner: Rhea Ripley
In comes B-Fab from behind and she grabs Rhea but Rhea with a headbutt. Jade gets on the ring apron but Michin with a chop block. Michin and B-Fab with right hands. Jade gets in the ring. B-Fan grabs Rhea and Jade with a chop to the chest. Out comes IYO SKY and Jade leaves the ring. IYO and Rhea with double drop kicks onto B-Fab and Michin.
We cut to the back and Matt Cardona is with a trainer. In comes Aleister Black with Zelina. Black tells him he should have listened to them. He says Orton did not change, he just went back to being Randy Orton. It is almost as if the universe is right again. Zelina tells him the only person who has not accepted that yet is him. Matt says he will talk to Aldis and they can have a match tonight. Black tells him if he didn’t know any better, he would say that Matti s a fan of making bad decisions.
We cut to Solo Sikoa and the MFTs. Solo says Uncle Howdy challenged him to a match tonight for the lantern. But after whath appened to the Tag Team titles, he needs someone to step up. Tama asks him why they are fighting for the lantern. Solo asks why if he said something. Tama says that thing has been nothing but problems for all of them, especially for Solo. He looks at Solo and Solo tells him to go out and fight for the lantern. Tama says he will handle Howdy but he is going out there alone. Solo tells him before he does, he tells him not to mess it up.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Rhea has an ice pack and is with IYO. In comes Kathy Kelley. Rhea tells her that Jade has proven to her that she can’t do it on her own but she didn’t think she had a backup plan. The difference between her and Jade is Jade has followers. She has friends. IYO says best friends and no matter what, she will always have her back. Rhea says when they are together, they are unstoppable. And that is why t WrestleMania, she will be walking out the new Women’s Champion.
Uncle Howdy vs. Tama Tonga
The bell rings and we are under way. Uncle Howdy with right hands and he gets Tama Tonga in the corner. Tama Tonga with right hands and an uppercut.
-Commercial Break-
ack from commercial, Uncle Howdy with a running elbow in the corner. Uncle Howdy with a right hand but Tama Tonga with a clothesline. Tama Tonga goes for a splash but Uncle Howdy with a Mandible Claw. Out comes Solo Sikoa with the lantern and Uncle Howdy lets go of the Claw. Uncle Howdy is distracted by the lantern and Tama Tonga hits him from behind. Solo goes to hit Uncle Howdy with the lantern but the referee sees it. Tama Tonga and Solo argue, Tama Tonga turns around and Uncle Howdy hits him with the Sister Abigail. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Uncle Howdy
He leaves the ring and Solo gets in the ring.
Solo and Tama Tonga argue in the ring. Tama Tonga goes to grab the lantern and Tama Tonga tells him they don’t need it. Tama Tonga grabs the lantern and places it next to the ring apron. Solo asks him what he is doing and Uncle Howdy grabs the lantern. Solo goes to grab it but Tama Tonga stops him.
We cut to the back and see Kit Wilson with The Miz. Kit tells him he is worried about the curse. Miz tells him there is no curse. We see R-Truth and he tells them if they are looking for memberships to join the Judgment Day, they are not taking applications. Miz tells him R-Truth that he hasn’t earned anything. R-Truth says he accepts and Miz asks him what. R-Truth looks at him and says that Miz just open challenged them. He says he will go talk to Nick Aldis and there will be a Tag Team match tonight.
-Commercial Break-
A Jacob Fatu video promo airs. He says when you come from the gutter, you are forced to be a product of the environment. IT is not about who is wrong or right, it is about survival. He says everything brought him right here, to this moment. He says there are no rules, no one to stop him, no one to break it up, no one to tell him what he can or cannot do to him. He says at WrestleMania, Drew is in his world.
We cut to Sami Zayn backstage and he is with Nick Aldis. He thanks Aldis for the opportunity to go out and talk to the fans. Zayn is about to walk to the ring but Trick’s music hits and out comes Trick Williams. He comes out with Lil Yachty.
They get in the ring and the fans chant “Whoop that trick”. Trick says the truth is he came out to celebrate his first match at WrestleMania. But since they are bringing out all the stars, Jelly Roll, Pat McAfee, it is only right he brings out his boy Lil Yachty and he points to him.
Lil Yachty says WrestleMania is not for little boys and girls, it is for legends in the making. Trick says he didn’t bring him out just to celebrate. He wants to ask him something. He says they go back. And if it is cool with him, they pack up, go all white, bring it to WrestleMania and Lil Yachty agrees. Trick says there is nothing in the world that he will not do to get the United States Championship. He isn’t taking no lip off no ginger bread man. Lil Yachty tells him that he likes what he is doing, he is disrespectful. Trick says he will show him at WrestleMania, when he gets to the top rope and he tells them to hit Sami Zayn’s pyro because Trick Williams runs SmackDown.
Trick climbs the second rope and pyro goes off. Zayn’s music hits and out he comes.
Zayn says that is good, he is already planning the celebration. He has all the presentation and that is good but he will be honest. The pageantry has never been his thing. His thing is a bit more dressed down, working class. His thing is what happens when he steps in between the ropes and what he does in the ring. And the thing is that at WrestleMania, there is going to be 50,000 seats and they were all be pointed at the ring. And when the bell rings, Trick will learn in a hurry that the rap superstars, the coats, will not save him. He tells Trick that at WrestleMania, he is going to humble his ass.
The fans boo and Trick says he thinks ginger snap is upset. He tells Zayn that he fails to realize and mention. The only reason he got that title is because of him. He says the only reason he is going to WrestleMania is because of him. Trick says Thank you Trick Williams, You’re welcome Sami Zayn.
Carmelo’s music hits and out comes Carmelo Hayes. He says he can’t sit back and watch it all go down. He tells Trick that they have history a mile long, he will get his receipt and he will spin the block on him. And he knows the perfect place to do that. But first, Zayn, the way he did it last week, it doesn’t sit right with him. He tells Zayn that for months, he carried SmackDown on his back. He carried that title on his back. All for him to take that title when he had it at the one yard line, all for Zayn to carry it into the end zone, no way. He says listen to the people, they don’t want Sami Zayn, they want Melo.
Trick claps and the fans chant “Melo”. He says to listen to the people, to give them what they want. He is not asking him, he is telling him to give him his rematch. Trick and Lil Yachty are laughing. Zayn tells Carmelo that he already told him, he thinks the world of him and he agrees with him. He carried SmackDown, he takes nothing away from him. But the thing is that Carmelo had an open challenge, Zayn answered it and he beat him. And by doing that, he punched his ticket to WrestleMania. He says he is sorry it came at his expense, but this match is official. If he wants a rematch, he will have to give it to him but it will be at the other side of WrestleMania. Trick tells him come on ginger ale, no one wants that. He says he should give Carmelo a chance. Zayn says as much as he wants to tell Trick to shut his mouth and stay out of it, he has a point. Because the truth is, if Trick would not have gotten involved, they will never know if he would have won. But it happened to him too. The fans chant “We want Melo”. Zayn says he called out Cody and Orton when it happened to him too.
Carmelo tells him to stop yapping and do the right thing. Zayn looks at the WrestleMania sign and he tells Carmelo he has his rematch. He will give it to him tonight. Carmelo wins, it’s Carmelo Hayes against Trick Williams. But if he wins, it’s him against Trick Williams at WrestleMania. Zayn asks him if they are good and extends his hand for a hand shake. Carmelo says they are good and walks away.
Trick says that took for ever ginger snap and Zayn clotheslines Trick over the top rope to the outside of the ring.
We cut to the back and Solo asks Tama Tonga why he would give the lantern back. He says he had to, it is done. That lantern was tearing them apart. To get back to real business, taking over SmackDown and taking all the titles. Solo tells him he is right, finish the Wyatts and when they do, they will get back to business. He asks him if they are good and Tama Tonga says they are.

Aleister Black with Zelina vs. Matt Cardona
The bell rings and we are under way. Cardona’s left hand is still in a cast. Cardona with a right hand and a head lock but Black gets out of it. Cardona with an arm drag and Cardona grabs his left arm. Cardona throws Black to the ropes but Black with a right hand. Black with an arm bar onto Cardona’s left arm but Cardona gets out of it. Cardona with a clothesline and Black falls to the outside of the ring. Cardona to the outside and he slams Black face first onto the ring apron. Cardona throws Black into the ring. Cardona on the ring apron and he slams Black’s head into the top turnbuckle. Zelina distracts Cardona and Black trips Cardona on the ring apron.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Cardona with a right hand. He goes for a double underhook but Black lands on his feet. Black with a knee to the face. Black goes for a suplex but Cardona lands on his feet and lands a neck breaker. Cardona with a running knee to the face. He goes for the cover but Black kicks out. Cardona goes for the Rough Rider but Black places him on the top rope. Black climbs the second rope but Cardona with right hands. Cardona throws Black onto the mat. Black gets up and Cardona with a drop kick. Cardona with a double underhook power bomb. He goes for the cover but Black kicks out. He goes for a running knee but Black moves out of the way. Black with a brain buster. He goes for the cover but Cardona kicks out. Black with an arm bar but Cardona gets out of it. Cardona with a right hand but Black with Black Mass. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Aleister Black
We cut to Kathy Kelly who is with Bayley and Lyra. Bayley says losing the opportunity last year sucked but she built a career by fighting with her back against the wall. She says Charlotte and Bliss will pay for taking their opportunity on Monday. Lyra says Charlotte and Alexa’s friendship is fragile. Lyra says this year, it’s about making up for what happened to Bayley last year.

R-Truth is backstage with Candice LeRae and Johnny Gargano. R-Truth says he thought he was dead and Candice tells him he is alive. And tomorrow at Stand and Deliver, he is going to win. They walk away and in comes Damian Priest. He tells R-Truth there are many good tag teams on SmackDown but R-Truth decided to give the opportunity to Kit Wilson and The Miz. R-Truth says it’s easy because Asuka cursed them. Priest tells him that Asuka is on Raw and R-Truth asks him who is the little girl running around with the face paint. Damian tells him that is Danhausen. R-Truth says Miz and Wilson challenged them. Priest asks him that he gave them a chance because Danhausen cursed them and R-Truth says it was Asuka.
-Commercial Break-
A video package of Drew McIntyre airs. He says he was going to be champion at WrestleMania but it was taken from him by Jacob Fatu. And he heard Fatu’s lies, he says Fatu is nothing more than a criminal, a thief. He says Fatu has not changed, he will not change. He says Fatu is only there because of his family, the same family that made his life a living hell. He says next week, he will prove beyond all reasonable doubt that Fatu is guilty. He says next week, he will show the entire world who Jacob Fatu really is.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria
The bell rings and we are under way. All four fight in the ring. Flair and Lyra start the match. Lyra with a spinning heel kick. She goes for the cover but Flair kicks out. Lyra with a kick to the side of the head and Bliss is tagged in. They double team Lyra and Alexa with a tornado DDT.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Bliss goes for a splash but Lyra moves out of the way. Flair is tagged in and she grabs Lyra by the leg but Lyra with a right hand. She goes to make the tag but Flair grabs her by the leg. Lyra with right hands but Flair with a chop to the chest. She throws Lyra towards the turnbuckle and Lyra with a cross body onto Flair. Bayley is tagged in. Bayley with a back suplex. Bayley with right hands. Bayley with a sunset flip and Flair lands head first on the bottom turnbuckle. She goes for the cover but Flair kicks out. Bayley climbs the top rope but Flair gets up and hits her with a right hand. Flair with a chop and she climbs the top rope. Flair goes for a suplex but Lyra holds Bayley’s left leg and Flair lands onto the mat. Lyra trips Bliss off the ring apron. Bayley lands the elbow onto Flair. She goes for the cover but Flair kicks out. Lyra is tagged in and Lyra climbs the top rope. Bayley gets Flair onto her shoulders and Lyra jumps off, slamming Flair onto the mat. She goes for the cover but Flair kicks out. Lyra climbs the second rope and she jumps but Flair catches her. Flair gets her in the Figure Four Leg Lock and into the Figure Eight. In comes Bayley and she lands an elbow onto Flair. In comes Alexa and she drop kicks Bayley. Alexa is tagged in and she climbs the second rope. Alexa jumps, Lyra catches her and she gets Alexa on her shoulders. Alexa lands on her feet and goes for Sister Abigail. In comes Bayley, Alexa ducks, Flair hits Bayley. Lyra gets out of it but Alexa with a right hand. Alexa and Flair with double Natural Selection. Bliss goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winners: Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss
In comes Lash Legend after the match and she hits Bliss with a right hand. Out comes Nia and they attack both teams.
Miz and Kit Wilson are backstage. Miz tells him he told him that the curse thing is a myth. If they were cursed, how would they have gotten a tag team title match. In comes Danhausen. He asks if someone said curse. Miz says no and he asks Danhausen what he is holding. Danhausen says human teeth in a jar. He says he will go out to the ring with them. Kit Wilson tells him that he is toxic. Danhausen says if he does come out with them, he can uncurse them and they can become Tag Team champions. Miz tells him to stay away from them and they will become new champions. Miz turns around but Danhausen is gone.
