According to new reports from PWInsider and Fightful Select, there appears to be growing concern that TNA might be pulling back on it’s talent being allowed to work with wrestlers at independent events

Several reports have indicated that Moose has been pulled from Scott D’Amore’s Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling Multiverse event scheduled for April 17. It was also noted that other changes could be made to other shows during WWE WrestleMania week as well. Furthermore, the reports note that Moose was said to have been given the green light from TNA to appear before the company later went back on the decision, as it was likely believed he would have wrestled a talent from AEW.

In PWInsider’s report, it indicates “rumblings” in over the past few days days indicat that TNA might have had a change of heart with allowing its wrestlers to work with talent from other companies.

Fightful Select also states in their report, Moose was pulled from MLP show after previously having been approved. Fightful Select adds, “sources familiar with the situation” believe it is possible TNA Wrestling could move toward with not permitting their contracted wrestlers to have matches against AEW talent at all. The report also notes that TNA talent Nic Nemeth is pushing for his scheduled match against AEW World Champion MJF at the May 1 Create A Pro Wrestling’s event to still take place as originally planned.

Fightful further added “people close to MLP” noted that TNA president Carlos Silva was not pleased with AEW airing Collision opposite IMPACT on AMC last Thursday due to TNT’s live coverage NCAA basketball last Saturday.

Per F4WOnline, during an interview last September, Moose had stated that he could not work with MLP due the promotion’s relationship with AEW.

“I talk to him (Scott D’Amore) at least once every other week, maybe once a month. He’s doing great. He has his new fed, Maple Leaf Pro. They’re doing awesome. I wish I could work for them but you know how business is with the whole TNA. They have a relationship with AEW. We’re in competition with AEW so you know how all that whole nonsense goes.”

At the time of writing, AEW’s Ricochet and TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater is still scheduled for a match at the Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow on April 16.
