MJF calls into Busted Open Radio, says TNA restricting indie bookings is “disgusting”

AEW World Champion MJF called into Thursday’s episode to discuss his match at Sunday’s Dynasty at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC, where he is set to defend the World Title against Kenny Omega.

MJF put over Natalya and TJ Wilson’s training program for up and coming wrestlers. Before addressing Omega, MJF went on to talk about TNA blocking their talent from wrestling AEW talents and independent events.

MJF said what TNA President Carlos Silva is doing is “disgusting.”

“Let’s talk about TNA and the fact that they are pulling young talent off of shows when they’re barely paying them any money whatsoever and telling them, ‘Hey, you can’t wrestle because there’s a guy from another promotion that’s wrestling on this show.’ Does that help young talent grow? Does that help young talent become better inside the squared circle? Moreover, does that help young talent put food on their plate so they can eat? What Carlos Silva is doing is disgusting. And if anybody supports him or that company at this point, it is very hard for me to wrap my head around.”

MJF was scheduled to wrestle TNA’s Nic Nemeth at the May 1 Create-A-Pro show in Melville, New York, but the match now has been pulled from that event.

Earlier reports from Fightful Select noted that Silva had said matches were pulled due to “partner conflicts.” It should be noted that WWE is in multi-year partnership with TNA.
