TNA Wrestling has revealed that former TNA/IMPACT champion EC3 will make his return to the company at Saturday’s Rebellion pay-per-view.
TNA/IMPACT Wrestling officially released EC3 on January 18, 2018, but still appeared on their television program through March, as the company had already pre-taped episodes leading up to his departure. He signed with WWE in January of that same year and began appearing on NXT in March. He was released by WWE on April 15, 2020 as part of budget cuts due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
After his release from WWE, EC3 and former WWE Superstar Braun Strowman began to work together and attempted to create a new promotion, called Control Your Narrative or CYN. The intent was for talent to book their own storyline in a way that resembled Fight Club. However, the concept never really took off.
EC3 wrestled in ROH between 2020 and 2021 and the NWA from 2022 to 2026. His last appearance in TNA/IMPACT was in a match against Moose at the promotion’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view.
