During his appearance on the latest episode of the Gabby AF Show with Gabby LaSpisa, WWE tag team champion Damian Priest shared his thoughts on the segment from the 4/3 episode of SmackDown, with the heel turn of Pat McAfee.
Priest was not a fan, saying it ‘sucks.’
“It sucks. Not a fan. Somebody who knows Pat, get a long with him, but for me, that’s not my taste. I don’t think it helps anything. He didn’t need it. For me, and I’m sure a lot of people, aren’t going to be happy I said that, in the locker room specifically, a lot of us weren’t happy. That’s realy. I was asked by some of the younger talent what I thought, and I thought it was bull. We’re a PG show, but he can come in and throw F bombs and say whatever he wants. For me, that’s one of those things where so many other talent, even from one word, could benefit and it’s like, ‘Wow, now they’re up here.’ Instead, you take somebody who is not here all the time and gets away with saying something like that who doesn’t even need it. Not gonna lie, it pissed me off.”
McAfee aligned with Randy Orton on last week’s show and then went on a rant about WWE’s low ratings and overpriced tickets.
McAfee said yesterday on his show and social media that he will have a ‘massive announcement’ on tonight’s SmackDown.
Wrestleview will have live coverage of tonight’s show, beginning at 8:00 pm ET.
