Report: WWE WrestleMania 42 tickets sales surge in recent weeks

According to the Sports Business Journal, regarding this weekends WrestleMania 42 PLE at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise (Las Vegas), Nevada, notes “a source close to WWE said ticket sales have surged in recent weeks and projected that the event remains headed toward one of the top gates in WWE history.”

Per a report from Jordan Mendoza of the USA Today, filling Allegiant Stadium for this year’s WrestleMania has “been a struggle in 2026.” Mendoza also notes a “multitude of factors” contributing to “unhappiness,” which has resulted in WWE “trying several late pushes in hopes of getting people in the stands.”

SBJ and the USA Today mention one of the factors includes WWE holding WrestleMania in Las Vegas for the second straight year. However, the main issue has been ticket prices, as the cost to attend WWE events rose substantially since TKO took over the company back in 2023. SBJ notes what the media and fans have been saying for about this year’s Mania for months, the cost of tickets has “finally reached a breaking point with WrestleMania 42,” as ticket packages were “noticeably higher than previous years.”

During last Friday’s SmackDown, Pat McAfee announced WWE would have a 25 percent discount on tickets for Night One.

According to Wrestletix on April 14, at the time of this writing, 42,715 tickets have been distributed for Night One and 43,394 tickets have been sold for Night Two. The venue is setup for 45,767 fans.

The announced attendance of WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium was 58,538 for night one and 60,103 for night two.

WrestleMania 42 is this Saturday and Sunday, with a start time of 6:00 pm ET/3:00 pm PT for both days. The event will air live on ESPN Unlimited in the United States and Netflix for international fans.
