Gunnar Eudy addressed the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony on social media, expressing disappointment in the way his father Sid was treated with the induction into the Legacy wing of the Class of 2026.
Noting the lack of promotion for the honor bestowed upon the late WWE Champion, who had memorable runs in the company as Sid Justice and Sycho Sid, Eudy said:
Last night’s so-called ‘Hall of Fame induction’ for my father, Sid Eudy ‘Sycho Sid’ ‘Sid Vicious’ was straight up disappointing and disrespectful as hell. I’m glad my dad was big enough to put himself over even in death, because WWE damn sure wouldn’t.
I didn’t see one single ad for him here in Vegas. The Hall of Fame gift shop had zero merch for my dad not a damn thing, But they were loaded with all the Dennis Rodman crap you could want. It felt like they just swept him under the rug like a footnote, rushing to get him out of the way.
Neither Sid nor Bad News Brown were given a full induction, but the families of both were present following their respective video packages celebrating their careers.
The new Legacy Award winner’s honor comes after his unfortunate passing in August 2024.
