WCW Nitro kicks off with the legendary Nitro video.
Live in the arena, Arn Anderson and Kevin Sullivan are in the ring. Hulk Hogan’s music hits and out he comes.
Handicap match – Hulk Hogan vs. Arn Anderson and Kevin Sullivan with Jimmy Hart, Miss Elizabeth and Woman
The bel rings and we are under way. Hogan gets in the ring but they double team him. They send Hogan to the ropes but Hogan with a clothesline onto Arn and a big boot onto Sullivan. Arn to the outside of the ring and Hogan with a figure four leg lock onto Sullivan. Arn gets in the ring and Hogan kicks him down. Hogan with the figure four onto Arn but Sullivan breaks it up. Out comes The Booty Babe and Hogan hits them with right hands. Hogan with a body slam onto Arn. He lands a big boot onto Arn and he hits Sullivan with a right hand. Arn and Sullivan to the outside of the ring. Hogan slams Arn face first into the barricade. Sullivan hits Hogan with a steel chair but Hogan turns around. Hogan hits Sullivan and Arn with the steel chair. Hogan throws Arn into the ring but Arn with right hands and Hogan falls to the outside of the ring. They double team Hogan. Jimmy Hart with kicks onto Hogan. Arn throws Hogan back into the ring. Arn goes for a power bomb and Sullivan climbs the top rope. Hogan drops Arn and he sling shots Arn into the top turnbuckle, tripping Sullivan down. Hogan with a back suplex onto Arn. He body slams Sullivan. Hogan with the Leg Drop. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Hulk Hogan
He grabs Woman on the outside of the ring and throws her into the ring. Miss Elizabeth looks at Hogan and she gets in the ring. Hogan grabs them both and lets go. He points to Jimmy Hart. Hogan grabs him but Jimmy Hart throws powder but it does not get Hogan. Jimmy climbs the second rope and Hogan grabs him. Hogan with an atomic drop. He throws Jimmy to the ropes and Hogan with the big boot. Out comes The Giant to the ring. Hogan with a right hand on Jimmy Hart. The Giant gets in the ring and he grabs Hogan. He lands a choke slam but Hogan gets back up. Hogan with right hands. He throws The Giant to the ropes and Hogan with a big boot but The Giant is still standing. Hogan with a rake to the eyes and a body slam.
In comes Gene Okerlund who taps Hogan but Hogan lifts him up. Hogan puts Okerlund back down and The Giant rolls to the outside of the ring. Hogan tells him he thought Okerlund was Jimmy Hart and he apologizes for grabbing him. He says they are back on a roll and what are you going to do when Hulk Hogan climbs the ladder to the top of the WCW title. Hogan’s music hits.
Roy’s thoughts: A fun start to the show. It was a short match but it got the fans going.

Back from commercial, we cut to the announce team. Heenan says he saw Randy Savage brought into the building by security. Bischoff says Ric Flair will team with The Giant to take on Sting and Lex Luger.
Falls Count Anywhere Street Fight Match – Public Enemy vs. The Nasty Boys
As Public Enemy are walking down to the ring, The Nasty Boys hit them from behind with a steel chair and a trash can. They throw Grunge in the ring and double team him. In comes Rocco Rock with a trash can and he hits Sags with it. Both teams fight to the outside of the ring. Sags grabs Rocco Rock and throws him through a table. Knobbs hits Grunge with a trash can lid. They begin fighting in the ring. Rocco Roc gets in the ring and Public Enemy double team Knobbs. They place Knobbs on top of a table. Grunge climbs the top rope and goes for a leg drop but Knobbs moves out of the way and Grunge goes through the table. Sags grabs Rocco Roc to the outside of the ring. Knobbs goes for the cover on Grunge and gets the pin.
Winners: The Nasty Boys
In comes Rocco Roc and he throws Knobbs to the outside of the ring. Public Enemy double team Sags and they throw him to the outside. Grunge places Sags on a table. Grunge stands on the ring apron, Rocco Roc runs to the ropes, does a cannon ball over the top rope onto Grunge and they fall onto Sags through the table.
Roy’s thoughts: This was very enjoyable and this was physical. Chairs shots, trash cans and even tables. The cannonball over the top rope at the end was something you don’t even see today.

Randy Savage vs. Earl Robert Eaton with Geaves
The bell rings and we are under way. Savage with right hands onto Eaton. Eaton runs towards Savage but Savage throws him over the top rope and to the outside of the ring. Savage throws him face first into the ring post. He throws Eaton back into the ring. Savage with a snap mare take down followed by an elbow drop. He goes for the cover but Eaton kicks out. He grabs Eaton but Eaton with a rake to the eyes and he throws Savage over the top rope and to the outside of the ring. Eaton to the outside and he throws Savage back into the ring. Eaton with a chop block onto Savage. Eaton with a figure four leg lock and Geaves throws a t-shirt into the ring. Eaton grabs the t-shirt and it’s a Four Horsemen shirt. He shows it to Savage but Savage reverses the figure four leg lock. Eaton lets go of the hold. Savage with a body slam. He gets on the ring apron to climb the top rope but Geaves pulls him down to the outside. Savage grabs the wig off Geaves and Geaves runs away. Eaton to the outside but Savage with a back body drop. Savage throws him back into the ring. Savage climbs the top rope and lands the Elbow Drop. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Randy Savage
After the match, Savage tries to get on the top rope but the referee stops him. Savage pushes the referee and he climbs the top rope. Out come some wrestlers to try and stop him but Savage lands the Elbow Drop onto Eaton.
Roy’s thoughts: This was all about making Savage unhinged to continue him against Flair. But it was a lot of fun. Savage was missing that edginess to him and he got it here.

Ric Flair and The Giant with Miss Elizabeth and Woman vs. Sting and Lex Luger
The bell rings and we are under way. Sting and Flair start the match. Flair with a side head lock but Sting throws him to the ropes. Flair with a shoulder tackle. Flair to the ropes but Sting with a gorilla press slam. Sting drop kicks The Giant off the ring apron. Sting throws Flair to the ropes and he gorilla presses Flair onto the outside, throwing him onto The Giant. He catches Flair and he throws Flair back into the ring. Luger is tagged in and Luger gorilla presses Flair. He throws Flair onto The Giant but The Giant catches him. He throws Flair back into the ring. Sting is tagged in. Sting goes for the cover but Flair kicks out. Flair rolls to the outside of the ring and he chops The Giant for throwing him back into the ring. The Giant walks towards Flair and Flair begins to walk to the back.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Luger and Flair are in the ring. Luger with a right hand. Luger goes towards The Giant but The Giant grabs him. Flair hits Luger. The Giant is tagged in. The Giant with a kick onto Luger. The Giant with a suplex onto Luger and Flair is tagged in. Flair with a chop to the chest. He throws Luger to the outside of the ring. Woman with a rake to the eyes. The Giant grabs Luger and throws him back into the ring. Flair with a knee to the face. He goes for the cover but Luger kicks out. The Giant is tagged in. The Giant slams Luger into the turnbuckle. Flair is tagged back in. Flair with the Figure Four Leg Lock. Flair extends his arms and Woman pulls him back for leverage but the referee breaks it up. Flair pulls the ropes for leverage but the referee sees it. Flair lets go and he gets up. Flair pushes the referee but the referee pushes him back. The Giant is tagged in and he gorilla presses Luger. Flair is tagged in and Flair with a chop to the chest. Luger with right hands and he throws Flair into the turnbuckle. Luger runs towards Flair but Flair with an elbow to the face. Flair climbs the top rope but Luger gorilla press slams him off the top rope. Sting is tagged in and he hits Flair with right hands. Sting throws Flair to the ropes and he gorilla press slams him. Sting with a drop kick. He throws Flair into the turnbuckle. Flair flips over and lands on the ring apron. Sting with a right hand. Sting grabs Flair and throws him into the ring. Sting places Flair on the top rope and Sting with a superplex. Sting gets Flair in the Scorpion Death Lock. The Giant gets in the ring but Luger gets in the ring. Luger with right hands. Woman gets on the ring apron and throws a hot cup of coffee towards Luger but Luger ducks and the coffee hits Sting in the face. The referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Sting and Lex Luger
The Giant chokeslams Luger after the match. He picks Sting up and he chokeslams him. Flair goes for the cover on Sting and he goes for the cover on Luger.
We cut to the announce team and Bischoff calls Flair a lunatic for going for the cover on Sting and Nitro goes off the air.
Roy’s thoughts: A good main event. Sting, Lex Luger, Ric Flair and The Giant in a main event is something that anyone would want to watch. I know Flair is a bigger name but Sting was something else too. This was fun and continues the angle of is Luger really with Sting after he ducked the coffee.
A solid show with a lot of wrestling and not a lot of promos.
