According to a report on Monday from PWInsider, a number of readers have inquired about claims WWE has rescinded Kairi Sane’s released and if she could appear on tonight’s Raw to finish out her storyline with Asuka.
PWInsider notes they have confirmed that the claims are not correct and that Sane has already returned to Japan, so there is no chance of her appearing on tonight’s show.
After it was learned that Sane was among the several talents released last Friday, she began trending on social media, as fans were outraged. WWE’s Jackie Redmond posted to X over the weekend, showing her support for Sane. However, on Sunday, Redmond deleted all of those posts.
Should WWE choose not to bring her back, following her 90-day no-compete clause ending, Sane is expected to have very high interest from other promotions.
