WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported that WWE has no plans for AJ Lee as she wraps up her current run following WrestleMania 42.
Lee, who returned to the company in September 2025 after over a decade away, revealed in an interview with Jackie Redmond that she was stepping away from wrestling “for a while” following her match against Becky Lynch, where her reign as WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship came to an end.
She posted a statement on her Instagram account, showing respect to Lynch for the feud they had over the title and gratitude for the fans who stood by her throughout her career.
There is no confirmation on the exact duration of her break from wrestling, though there is potential for a return at SummerSlam or another program later in the year.
