The Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation has confirmed to POST Wrestling, that the on organization, which serves as the city’s tourism agency, is making an effort to bring WrestleMania to Nashville.
In a statement to POST Wrestling, when asked about the chances of WrestleMania coming to Nashville in 2028, a communications representative provided the following response:
“We are working on a future date with them.”
This seems to confirm recent reports from Bryan Alvarez at F4WOnline and WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, which both said WWE is in “active negotiations” as it pertains to Nashville hosting a future WrestleMania.
Should Nashville obtain the winning bid, which has also been reported by various media outlets to be $3.5 billion, WrestleMania would emanate from the new Nissan Stadium, the future home of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans. The new, which has a capacity of 70,000, is scheduled to open in 2027.
Fightful noted on Thursday, city of Nashville officials hope that an announcement regarding WrestleMania could be made soon.
It had been previously reported by FOX 17 in Nashville, the city had hoped to host WrestleMania in 2027, but that “the date didn’t work out.”
Reports surfaced earlier this week that during an employee town hall, WWE President Nick Khan talking up the 2028 WrestleMania location was heard saying, “Wait until you hear the announcement on where we’re going.”
