WWE SmackDown kicks off with clips of Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu from Raw.
Live in the arena, Cody’s music hits and out comes Cody Rhodes to the ring. Cody asks them what they want to talk about. He says it is always nice when they can come out and provide them with new information and he has some new information. He says he got to the arena earlier and spoke to the medical staff to see if he was medically cleared for action. He says that’s exactly what happened because he is cleared for action.
Cody asks what is next for Cody Rhodes on SmackDown. We hear Ricky’s music hit and out comes Ricky Saints. He says you boo what you can’t understand and he is absolute Ricky Saints. He says he is the hottest, newest, fliest, SmackDown new agent standing. He’s young, successful, rich, debonair, suave, he is everything your baby mamma wishes you were.
Saints looks at Cody and says it is no surprise to Cody that he is out here. He says the change in the air is a revolution and when you talk about that, you talk about who is leading that revolution. Ricky says he is leading it, he is the revolution and welcome to Friday night Saints.
Cody says he is glad to have him but bold move and he will ask him. Cody asks Ricky what is different between now and the last time he stepped up to him. Ricky says Cody is different. He says those title reigns have aged Cody 30 years. He may be wrong but one thing he is right about is that he is a former NXT Champion and a former NXT North American Champion. He says he has stood and congratulated Cody milestone after milestone and he will only hope that Cody keeps that same energy for him because he is here to relieve Cody of his duties. Cody says he came out, he told everyone that he was cleared for action. He says Saints looks like he is game for some action and if he wants a match, to do it. They shake hands and Saints tells him one more thing. He says he didn’t come out to make a statement, he came out to change who the show is about. Cody tells him that on SmackDown, in WWE, Cody is easy to find, hard to beat. Cody’s music hits and Saints leaves the ring.
We cut to Cathy Kelley who is backstage with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. In comes Rhea Ripley and Kelley walks away. Rhea says she tried to take on Fatal Influence alone and she got ambushed. She says she is willing to put their differences aside if they are to help out. Bliss thanks Rhea but Flair tells her that they have teamed before, it doesn’t mean they have to team again. Rhea says there are three of Fatal Influence and two of Flair and Bliss.
Flair says three is kind of a crowd and walks away.

Charlotte Flair with Alexa Bliss vs. Jacy Jayne with Fatal Influence
The bell rings and we are under way. Flair with chops to the chest followed by a head lock. Jayne throws Flair to the ropes but Flair with a shoulder tackle. Flair to the ropes but Jayne with a right hand. Jayne with a hurricanrana. She grabs Flair but Flair with a right hand. She trips Jayne down and goes for the Figure Four but Jayne kicks her away. Jayne rolls to the outside of the ring.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Flair with chops to the chest followed by a clothesline. Flair gets on the ring apron and she lands a big boot on Jayne. Flair climbs the top rope and lands a cross body but Jayne reverses it. She goes for the cover but Flair kicks out. Jayne grabs Flair but Flair with a big boot. Flair climbs the top rope and lands a moon sault. She goes for the cover but Jayne kicks out. She runs towards Jayne but Jayne with a chop block. Jayne with a running knee to the face. She goes for the cover but Flair kicks out. She runs towards Flair but Flair with a big boot. Flair with the Figure Four Leg Lock and into the Figure Eight. Fatal Influence trip Flair’s arm up. Fatal Influence hit Bliss on the outside of the ring. Flair gets up and turns around but Jayne with the Rolling Encore. She goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Jacy Jayne
Fatal Influence beat up on Charlotte Flair but out comes Rhea Ripley. She gets in the ring and Fatal Influence leave the ring. Charlotte shakes Rhea’s hand.
We cut to a clip from earlier in the day. R-Truth is talking to Fraxiom and in comes Damian Priest. He tells R-Truth that these are the kinds of teams who deserve a title shot. Priest gives them a title shot and Fraxiom walk away. R-Truth tells Priest that he wasn’t talking to them about giving them a title shot, he was talking to them about taxes. Priest does not believe R-Truth and R-Truth tells him they can’t be giving out title shots.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, The Miz and Kit Wilson are backstage. They have a paper that reads “Free Human Monies” with a briefcase. Kit tells him Danhausen will open it and they can ambush him. They hide and in comes Danhausen. He opens the briefcase, takes the money and walks away. Miz tells him that Danhausen just walked away with $40,000 of his own money. Miz opens the briefcase and white powder is sprayed in their faces.
WWE Tag Team Championship match – Damian Priest and R-Truth (c’s) vs. Fraxiom
The bell rings and we are under way. R-Truth and Axiom start the match. R-Truth with a head lock but Axiom throws him to the ropes. R-Truth with a shoulder tackle. He goes for a right hand onto Axiom but Axiom with an arm drag take down. Frazer is tagged in and R-Truth tags Priest in. Frazer with a kick to the side of the head. Axiom is tagged in but Priest with a right hand. Priest goes for Razor’s Edge but Axiom reverses it and he throws Priest to the outside of the ring. In comes R-Truth but Frazer throws him to the outside of the ring. Fraxiom go for a double suicide dive but both R-Truth and Priest move out of the way.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Priest with a right hand onto Frazer. He lands a double back drop onto Fraxiom. Priest with a kick onto Axiom and a flap jack onto Frazer. He goes for South of Heaven onto Frazer but Frazer lands on his feet and kicks Priest. R-Truth is tagged in and R-Truth with running shoulder blocks. R-Truth with the You Can’t See Me and the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Fraxiom trips Priest off the ring apron. That distracts R-Truth. Frazer goes for the cover but R-Truth kicks out. Frazer throws R-Truth to the outside. Frazer with a suicide dive onto R-Truth. Axiom with a suicide dive onto Priest. Frazer with a flying senton over the top rope onto R-Truth and Priest. Axiom with a springboard moon sault off the top rope onto R-Truth and Priest. Frazer throws R-Truth back into the ring and Axiom is tagged n. The Catapulta Inferno. Axiom goes for the cover but Priest pushes Frazer onto Axiom to break up the count. Priest tags himself in. Priest throws Axiom to the outside of the ring. Priest with the South of Heaven onto Frazer. Priest with the Razor’s Edge onto Axiom. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winners: Still WWE Tag Team Champions, R-Truth and Damian Priest
Talla Tonga gets in the ring after the match and he attacks R-Truth and Damian Priest. Solo Sikoa stands on the ring apron. Tonga with a double chokeslam onto Fraxiom. Tonga with a chokeslam onto Priest.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Solo Sikoa and Talla Tonga are in the ring. Solo says last week on SmackDown, Jacob made a big, big mistake. We see clips of last week’s SmackDown where Fatu got the win against Solo and Fatu beating up the MFTs.
Solo says Talla Tonga’s family are his family, his blood are his blood. But the MFTs are not standing with him because of Fatu. He tells Fatu when he gets to the building, he is a dead man walking.
Out come The Usos to the ring. They get in the ring and Jimmy says The Usos are now in your city. He tells Solo that they get it little brother. They understand that Solo has issues with Fatu but he has to understand that he isn’t the only one who has issues with him. He says The OTC, Roman Reigns has a big, big problem with him too. He says the mistake Fatu did wasn’t when he took out Solo’s little family tree. It was when he put his hands on Roman on Raw.
Jey says not only did he put his hands on Roman, he used the Tongan Death Grip, that’s a sacred move. That move is handed out from generation to generation. He tells Talla Tonga that his dad used it. He says that move is last resort. He tells Solo the plans he has for Fatu tonight have to wait until Roman is done with him.
Solo says there is plenty of Jacob to go around. Jey tells him they are not asking him, they are telling him. Solo laughs and says he doesn’t have time for this. He tells Talla Tonga to go but Talla Tonga and nods at Talla Tonga. He hits Jey with a super kick and he chokeslams Jimmy. Solo tells The Usos to tell Roman Reigns that he isn’t his Tribal Chief. What he says, they don’t give a damn. If Roman likes it or not, Jacob is a dead man.
We see Cody Rhodes walking backstage and he is stopped by Sami Zayn. He tells Cody that he heard what he said about him last week, how he called him condescending. He says Cody wanted to be the golden boy, he wishes he was the golden boy but Cody is the golden boy. He says he is tired of these misunderstanding, he feels like they are the last of the dying breed, the last real good guys. He says they are friends, they are the same.
Cody says there’s a lot of truth but one thing is they are not the same and he walks away.
-Commercial Break-
Cody Rhodes vs. Ricky Saints
The bell rings and we are under way. They shake hands and Saints with a head lock. Cody throws him to the ropes and Saints with a shoulder tackle. Saints with an arm drag take down. He grabs Cody but Cody with a right hand. Cody goes for a vertical suplex but Saints lands on his feet. Saints gets on the ring apron but Cody with a right hand and Saints falls to the outside of the ring. Cody to the outside but Saints throws him back into the ring. Saints clotheslines Cody over the top rope and to the outside.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Saints with a neck breaker followed by a jumping knee to the face. He goes for the cover but Cody kicks out. Saints with an arm bar and he climbs the top rope while holding Cody’s arm. Saints walks the ropes and lands a right hand onto Cody’s shoulder. Saints runs towards Cody but Cody with a snap power slam. Cody with the disaster kick followed by a Cody Cutter. Cody lifts Saints up but Saints lands on his feet. Saints with a modified Cross Rhodes. He goes for the cover but Cody kicks out. Saints with a Revolution DDT. He goes for the cover but Cody kicks out. Saints lifts Cody up but Cody lands on his feet. Cody with the Cross Rhodes. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
Gunther runs from behind and gets Cody in the sleeper and Cody is out. Gunther with another sleeper and WWE referees run to the ring to break it up. Gunther lifts the Undisputed Championship and he throws the title. Gunther leaves the ring and heads to the back.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, The Miz and Danhausen are in the ring. The Miz tells Danhausen that he will be his mentor. As they are about to shake hands, Kit Wilson’s music hits and out he comes. Kit asks Miz if he has lost his mind, he says Miz was mentoring him. Kit says Miz enables this toxic little goblin. He tells Miz to wake up but Miz tells Kit to wake up. He says everyone talks about Danhausen because he mastered the curse, he has a connection with everyone here and everyone watching all over the world. He has been able to zone in on what it truly takes to be a WWE superstar. He asks Kit if he can say the same. Danhausen stands next to Kit and says no.
Miz tells Kit that he’s not even in the same league. Miz says Mizhausen and they are about to shake hands but Kit tells him to give them a chance. He says he wrote a poem. He tells Danhausen that he doesn’t belong in the building, he should be banned. Kit tells Miz to look him in the eyes and shake his hand.
Danhausen tells Miz to shake his hand. Miz shakes Danhausen’s hand and the fans go crazy. Miz says there is one thing left to do. As Danhausen goes to curse Kit Wilson, Miz hits Danhausen from behind. Miz and Wilson begin double teaming Danhausen. Miz with the Skull Crushing Finale on Danhausen. Kit climbs the top rope and lands a spinning elbow.
We cut to the back and Royce Keys is warming up.
-Commercial Break-
A Blake Monroe video airs.
Royce Keys vs. Angel with Berto
The bell rings and we are under way. Keys grabs Angel and throws him into the turnbuckle. Angel rolls to the outside of the ring. Berto gets on the ring apron and distracts Keys. Angel gets in the ring and hits Keys from behind. Angel to the ropes but Keys with a clothesline. Keys with a splash in the corner. Berto gets on the ring apron but Keys pushes him down. Angel climbs the second rope and goes for a cross body but Keys catches him. Keys places Angel on the top rope. Keys climbs the second rope and lands a spinning slam. Keys with the Ultimate Spinebuster. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Royce Keys
We cut to the back and Cathy Kelley is with Tiffany Stratton. She tells Kelley that as Champion and birthday girl, people should come to her with opportunities. In comes Chelsea Green on a wheel chair. She says she brought Stratton a birthday gift and Chelsea stands up. She says she is her birthday gift. She says she has drinks for them and Tiffany refuses. In come Kiana James and Giulia. James says it’s not like Tiffany will be Champion for long. And she wouldn’t be doing her job if she didn’t secure Giulia a title shot. Tiffany gives James a title match. She tells James that they will see how well James does when she is not being held back.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Keys is talking on the phone with someone. In comes Jacob Fatu and they hug. Fatu congratulates him. Keys says they have known each other for 14-15 years and Keys is still that same guy. Keys says Roman and The Usos are back on top, they take everything they want. He tells Fatu that he needs Fatu to werewolf his ass up, he will be the guy who goes on top or if he will let Roman take food off his table. Or maybe being in WWE made him forget the smell of the streets. Keys says people like them take everything they want. They shake hands. In comes Talla Tonga and he pushes Keys into the wall. Fatu with a right hand but Solo hits Fatu. Talla Tonga chokeslams Solo through a table.
We cut to the ring and a Gingerbread Man costume is standing in the ring. Sami Zayn’s music hits and out he comes to the ring. Zayn asks if they are having fun. He says he doesn’t say this in every city but he loves coming to Tulsa, Oklahoma. He says he had a beautiful morning, he’s a huge Bob Dylan fan. He is a folk legend until one day when he decided to pick up an electric guitar. He says people turned on Dylan and he can relate.
Zayn says he doesn’t know what he did that was so wrong to deserve some of the reactions that he has been getting lately. He says it does not bother him because he knows that Sami Zayn’s ride or die fan club is in the house. He says he doesn’t deal well with disrespect. He says the Gingerbread man represents Trick Williams. He says it is someone wearing a costume and that is something Trick Williams is, it is easy to do what Trick does. Get a great entrance music, have good dance moves and a catch phrase. He says he can do that in his sleep. He says what is hard to do is what he does. Giving every piece of heart, passion and grit, that is hard. When he looks at the costume, it’s funny but that’s not what he sees. He sees Trick Williams not taking him seriously, not taking everything there seriously, he sees it as disrespect. Zayn says he was about to hit Gingerbread man in the middle of the ring. He low blows the costumer and elbow drops it. Zayn rips the costume up.
Trick’s music and out comes Trick Williams. Trick with right hands and he runs towards Zayn but Zayn rolls out of the ring.
We cut to the back and Byron Saxton is with Nia Jax and Lash Legend. Nia says Brie and Paige did not pin them. Lash Legend says they prepared for the Bellas, not for Paige and Brie. But they will be ready. Nia says once they end the nostalgic come back for Paige and Brie, they will join Nikki Bella.
-Commercial Break-
Cathy Kelley is backstage in Trick Williams comes out of the trainers room. He tells her last week, he attacked Lil Yachty and now he attacked Gingerbread man. He says you are attacking Trick’s money and you don’t attack Trick’s money. He says he better hope that Gingerbread man is fine. He tells Zayn that he will face him at Backlash. Out comes the doctor who shakes his head and Trick tells Zayn that at Backlash, he will whoop that trick.
Women’s Tag Team Championship Match – Paige and Brie Bella (c’s) vs. Irresistible Force
The bell rings and we are under way. Lash and Paige start the match. Paige with a slap to the face but Lash with a right hand. Lash with a splash and she goes for the cover but Paige kicks out. Nia is tagged in and they double team Paige. Nia lifts Paige up but Paige lands on her feet. Paige with a right hand and she lands a jaw breaker onto Nia. Brie is tagged in and Brie lands a drop kick off the top rope. Brie with a knee to the fac and she kicks Lash off the ring apron. Nia lifts Brie up but Brie lands on the ring apron. Lash grabs Brie by the leg and Nia hits her with a right hand.

Back from commercial, Brie with a hurricanrana onto Lash and Paige is tagged in. Paige with right hands followed by a kick to the face. Paige gets on the top rope and goes for a cross body but Lash catches her. Lash lifts Paige up but Paige lands on her feet. Brie is tagged in and Paige with a Paige burner. Brie with the Bella Buster. She goes for the cover but Nia breaks it up. Nia throws Paige to the outside of the ring. Nia is tagged in and she lands a splash onto Brie in the corner. Nia climbs the second rope but Paige with a kick and Nia is in a tree of woe. Paige with a cannonball onto Lash on the outside of the ring. Brie rolls Nia up and gets the pin.
Winners: Still Women’s Tag Team Champions, Paige and Brie Bella

Nick Aldis is backstage with Sami Zayn. He tells Aldis that this is all a joke and now we are having a funeral for the Gingerbread man. Aldis says they are all grieving. Zayn tells him to make the title match at Backlash official and Aldis makes it official.
Zayn walks away and in comes Danhausen. He says Miz kicked him and he wants a match. Nick Aldis tells him that he can put him in a match against Miz and Kit Wilson at Backlash if he can find a tag team partner. Danhausen agrees and walks away.
-Commercial Break-
The Usos vs. Solo Sikoa and Talla Tonga
The bell rings and we are under way. Talla Tonga and Jey start the match. Jey with right hands and a super kick but Talla Tonga with a clothesline. Talla Tonga with an elbow drop. Solo is tagged in and he headbutts Jey. Solo with a right hand but Jey with a kick to the side of the head. Jimmy is tagged in and they double team Solo. Jimmy climbs the second rope and jumps but Solo catches him and lands a spinning Solo slam. Solo with a running hip attack.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Solo with a right hand onto Jimmy. Talla Tonga is tagged in and Talla Tonga with a leg drop. He goes for the cover but Jimmy kicks out. Talla Tonga with a right hand onto Jey and Jey falls off the ring apron. Solo is tagged in. Talla Tonga grabs Jimmy but Jimmy with an elbow to the face. Solo runs towards Jimmy but he moves out of the way and Solo falls to the outside of the ring. Talla Tonga goes for a splash onto Jimmy but Jimmy moves out of the way. Jey is tagged in and he lands a suicide dive onto Talla Tonga. Jey climbs the top rope and lands a cross body onto Solo. He goes for the cover but Solo kicks out. Jey with right hands and a super kick. Jey to the ropes and he lands a spear. He goes for the cover but Talla Tonga breaks it up. Jimmy with a super kick onto Talla Tonga. Jey with a super kick onto Talla Tonga and The Usos with a double super kick onto Talla Tonga. The Usos clothesline Talla Tonga to the outside of the ring. Jimmy goes for a suicide dive but Talla Tonga with a right hand. Jey jumps off onto Talla Tonga but Talla Tonga grabs him and throws him into the barricade. Talla Tonga throws Jimmy into the steel steps. Talla Tonga clears the announce table but Jacob Fatu jumps off the barricade onto Talla Tonga and the referee calls for the bell.
Winners: By disqualification, Solo Sikoa and Talla Tonga
Fatu throws Talla Tonga into the ring post. He grabs the steel steps and hits Talla Tonga with them. Fatu gets in the ring and he gets the Tongan Death Grip onto Solo. Talla Tonga gets on the ring apron but Fatu with a right hand. Fatu goes for the suicide dive but Talla Tonga grabs him. Fatu with the Tongan Death Grip onto Talla Tonga. He lifts Talla Tonga and Samoan drops him through the announce table.
The Usos are in the ring and they are looking at Fatu. He gets on the ring apron and into the ring. Fatu walks through them and leaves the ring. Fatu tells The Usos to tell Roman Reigns that he will dog walk his ass at Backlash as SmackDown goes off the air.
