Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline has reported that Kairi Sane may not be completely done with WWE following her recent release from the company.
There is belief within WWE that the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, who was a part of a storyline involving Asuka and IYO SKY, will make an appearance at Backlash to “at least finish off that storyline” when the two face off.
Sane was among several released by WWE following WrestleMania 42, and notably one of the more surprising of the cuts.
The release ended her second WWE stint, which began with her 2023 return to the company.
WWE Backlash emanates from the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida, on Saturday, May 9.
