TNA IMPACT on AMC Results – 5/21/26 (World Title War, Fabian Aichner, Willow returns)

TNA Thursday Night iMPACT! on AMC in on the air from the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento, CA. After their match at Sacrifice ended in a No Contest, Daria Rae granted Steve Maclin another shot at the TNA World Championship. Tonight in the main event, TNA World Champion Mike Santana faces off against Steve Maclin. We kick things off with The System! 

Eddie Edwards calls The System the most dominant force in TNA history. Last week Cedric Alexander beat Leon Slater and captured the TNA X-Division Championship. Now Eddie Edwards has his eyes on the TNA World Championship.

The System is ready to reign over TNA entirely. Cedric Alexander calls out Fabian Aichner for interrupting his moment after winning the TNA X-Division Championship. 

Fabian Aichner answers, and is ready to take his place at the top. He has his eyes set on the TNA X-Division Title, and The System charges at Aincher. Aichner takes out the members of The System, and slides into the ring to take on TNA X-Division Champion Cedric Alexander. Cedric goes for a Lumbar Check, Aichner avoids it, and locks him in a Chokehold. The System rushes to his aid. 

Daria Rae is with Steve Maclin backstage and she wants him to take out TNA World Champion Mike Santana. 

Elayna Black vs. Indi Hartwell – Singles Match

Arianna Grace and Stacks join Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt on commentary for this match. 

Elayna shoves Indi into the turnbuckle, and Hartwell flattens her with a Clothesline. Elayna charges at Hartwell with a Knee-strike, she avoids it, and answers with a boot to Elayna’s face. Hartwell goes for a cover, and Elayna kicks out at two. Elayna sends Hartwell toppling over the top rope. She continues her momentum, slams her head into the edge of the apron, and rolls her back into the ring.

Elayna dives into Hartwell with a Elbow-Strike to her spine, goes for a cover, and Hartwell kicks out at two. She drives into Hartwell’s back with Double Stomp, and slams into her with a Knee-Strike. Black goes for a cover, and Hartwell kicks out at two. Indi Hartwell answers with multiple strikes, clotheslines her, and slams her down into the canvas. Hartwell climbs to the top turnbuckle, and Arianna Grace with Stacks attack her in the ring.

The referee ends the match via Disqualification.

Arianna Grace blames her father for her losing her TNA Knockouts World title.  Director of Authority Santino Marella joins them ringside, and believes Léi Yǐng Lee deserved the rematch. He pulls out The Cobra, and Director of Authority Daria Rae interrupts. She calls out Santino for picking a fight with Arianna Grace and Stacks.

The Elegance Brand are backstage chatting, the lights go out, and they are left with a message from Rosemary, Allie, and Mara Sadé.

Vincent acc. by Dutch  vs. “Broken”  Matt Hardy acc. by Jeff Hardy – Singles Match

Jeff Hardy and Dutch will be handcuffed to the posts ringside. Before the match starts Vincent wants to force “Broken” Matt Hardy to emerge.

The bell rings and this match is officially underway, and Matt Hardy drives Vincent into the corner. He bites Vincent, and sends him to the outside. Vincent sets up for Sliced Bread but Matt Hardy avoids it, and charges in. Dutch trips up Matt Hardy behind the referee’s back, and Vincent takes advantage of it. 

Vincent strikes Jeff Hardy outside of the ring. Back inside the ring he flattens Matt Hardy with a Clothesline, goes for a cover, and Hardy kicks out. Matt Hardy rolls up Vincent, and he kicks out at two. Vincent sends Matt Hardy outside of the ring, and Dutch lands multiple kicks and strikes onto him behind the referee’s back.

Matt goes to slam Vincent face-first into the steel steps, Vincent avoids it, and slams Matt’s face into the steel steps instead. Back inside the ring, Vincent lands multiple kicks to his midsection against the turnbuckle. Matt Hardy breaks out of a Chokehold, and Vincent slams him onto the canvas. Matt Hardy Deletes Vincent twice, and slams him down.

Vincent tries to counter Matt Hardy, feigns injury, and lashes out at him with his own boot. Matt Hardy answers, drives him down with Side Effect, goes for a cover, and Vincent kicks out. Vincent goes for a cover attempt of his own, Dutch interferes trying to help secure the pinfall, and Matt Hardy kicks out.

Matt Hardy goes for Twist of Fate, Vincent counters by shoving him into the referee, and drops Matt Hardy. He grabs the key from the referee’s pocket and the lights go out. Willow appears inside the ring, attacks Vincent, and the lights go out again. Matt Hardy slams down Vincent with Twist of Fate, and secures the pinfall.

Elijah is playing backstage, and AJ Francis joins him wanting to collaborate with him. He doesn’t want to be a Tag Team, but he wants to collaborate musically. Elijah prefers to be a drifter and walks alone.

Director of Authority Santino Marella announces that next week TNA brings back Champions Challenge. There will be two Champions Challenges, one for the Knockouts and one for the men. Each match features a team of TNA Champions facing a team of TNA All-Stars. This week, the team captains will be decided.

Daria Rae interrupts with a matchup of her own. Next week Santino Marella will face off against Stacks one on one. Eddie Edwards requests a match against Fabian Aichner, and she approves it. 

Chazz is ready to leave everyone starstruck and leave as the new TNA International Champion.

Chazz “Starboy” Hall vs. TNA International Champion Mustafa Ali acc. by Order 4 – TNA International Championship.

The bell rings and Ali goes for an early cover attempt, Starboy answers with a cover of his own, and Ali bridges out of it. Hall rolls up Ali, Ali escapes, goes for a cover, and Starboy bridges out as well. Starboy kicks Ali in the jaw, climbs to the top rope, and drops Ali onto the canvas. Starboy dives over the top rope with a Moonsault and levels Ali on the outside. 

Back inside the ring, Starboy climbs to the top rope, John Skyler distracts him, and Ali seizes the opportunity to slam down Starboy with a Cutter. From the top rope Ali goes for a top rope Razors Edge, Hall counters it, and flips Ali down from the top rope. Hall dives into Ali from the middle rope with a Moonsault, and drops him with a DDT. He continues his momentum crushing Ali with Cosmic Swirl, goes for a cover, and Ali kicks out at two. 

Ali counters out of Sliced Bread, and Ali answers with a Bell Clap. He catches Hall, and rolls him up into a Bridge to secure the pinfall.

Santino Marella joins Kieth Jardine, and Mara Sadé interrupts. She asks Keith Jardine to be in her corner at the TNA Knockouts Champions Challenge.

Eric Young joins Steve Maclin before his match against TNA World Champion Mike Santana, and leaves him with a message that choices have consequences.

Xia Brookside vs. Jada Stone – Singles Match

Jada Stone goes for an early roll up, Brookside kicks out, and rolls out of the ring. Brookside goes for a Clothesline, Stone evades it, and drops Xia with a Single-Legged Dropkick. Stone climbs to the top rope, and Brookside stops her. Brookside Dropkicks Stone’s left leg, and continues her assault on her left leg. She continues her momentum with a strike, goes for a cover, and Stone kicks out. 

Stone climbs to the top rope, and crashes down with a Split-Legged Moonsault. She goes for a cover, and Brookside powers out. Jada Stone tries to hoist Brookside onto her shoulders, but her left leg is too injured. She slams down Brookside with Double Knees, goes for the Spark Stunner, and Brookside avoids it. She drops Jada Stone with Darkside, and secures the pinfall.

Tensions boil over between Steve Maclin and TNA World Champion Mike Santana just moments before their match. 

Arianna Grace and Stacks are backstage and he is ready for his upcoming match against Santino Marella next week.

Steve Maclin vs. TNA World Champion Mike Santana – TNA World Championship

The bell rings and the main event is officially underway. Both contenders immediately trade blows, Santana goes for a Superkick, and Maclin avoids it.

Maclin avoids a Dropkick, and Santana answers with another Dropkick. Maclin rolls out of the ring, Santana climbs to the top rope, and wipes him out on the outside.

Maclin slams Santana face-first into the steel post twice, and drags a table out from underneath the ring. Santana slams Maclin head-first into the table. Maclin slides into him with a Chopblock and tries to drive Santana face-first into the edge of the apron, but Santana counters and sends Maclin face-first into the apron instead.

Santana tries to get back into the ring, and Maclin Dropkicks his left leg. Back on the outside, Maclin slams Santana face-first into the steel steps. He continues to attack Santana’s knee before he gets into the face of President Carlos Silva. Maclin rolls Santana back into the ring, goes for a cover, and Santana kicks out. He continues his onslaught onto Santana’s left leg. Santana escapes the Leglock, and fires back with back-to-back forearm shots.

Maclin Dropkicks Santana’s left knee again, he locks him in a Figure Four Leglock, and Santana reverses it. Santana answers with two Suplexes, Maclin avoids a Superkick, Santana drops him with another Suplex, and both go down in the center of the ring. 

Maclin sends Santana into the corner, charges at him, and Santana blocks with a Back Elbow. Santana fires back with an Enziguri, he sets up for Spin the Block, and Maclin stops it. Continuing his momentum he sets up for a Rolling Buck 50, and Maclin prevents it. He positions Santana on the ropes, charges at him, and Santana avoids him. He drops Maclin with a Rolling Buck 50, goes for a cover, and Maclin kicks out at two.

Santana hoists up Maclin, slams him down with a Powerbomb into a Blue Thunderbomb, goes for a cover, and Maclin kicks out. He continues his momentum, sets up for Spin the Block, Maclin avoids it, and answers with a heavy Back Elbow-Strike. Maclin continues the momentum,  he drops Santana with Olympic Slam, and drives him head-first into the canvas. He goes for a cover, and Santana kicks out at two. 

Maclin sets up Santana on the ropes, charges at him, and catches him in the Crosshair. He goes for a cover, and Santana kicks out at two and a half. Maclin goes to the outside, climbs to the top rope, and tries to set up to send Santana through the table. Santana connects a Superkick and Maclin crashes through the table on the outside. He rolls Maclin into the ring, climbs to the top rope and crushes him with Papi Splash. He goes for a cover, and Maclin kicks out at two.

Santana goes for Spin the Block, and Maclin collapses in the ring. Santana checks on Maclin, he feigns injury, and seizes the opportunity to drop Santana with a Superkick. He goes for a cover, and Santana kicks out at two.  Santana avoids K.I.A., levels Maclin in the center of the ring, and slams him down with Spin the Block to secure the pinfall.
