Fightful Select has provided a new update on the status of Enzo Amore’s and Big Cass possibly returning to WWE.
The report notes,“Fightful Select has since learned from those close to Enzo Amore that some promoters are being told that he was not taking bookings in the future that he regularly would be taking. Those promoters are operating on the assumption that Enzo is headed to WWE and will be signing there.”
Big Cass’ contract with AEW/ROH (where he has been wrestling under the name of Big Bill), is still reportedly set to expire in the next few weeks, per F4WOnline. Bill’s last match took place on the April 6 episode of ROH television, as he teamed with Bryan Keith in win over Nick Halen and Vin Parker.
WWE released Amore in 2018 after accusations of sexual assault, which resulted in no charges being filed and the case closed due to lack of evidence. A woman had publicly alleged via social media, that Amore sexually assaulted her at a Phoenix hotel in October 2017 that included claims she had been drugged and left incapacitated.
Big was released from his WWE contract in 2018 over behavioral issues. He later disclosed he had been dealing with alcoholism and mental issues. After getting clean and his mental health taken care, he had a short run in IMPACT Wrestling as W. Morrisey, before signing a deal with AEW in 2022.
