The New York Knicks are NBA Champions, having defeated the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night 94-90 in game 5, to win the franchises first championship since 1973.
On Saturday afternoon, Fightful Select reported that if the Knicks were to win, Danhausen would be used in the forefront as part of advertising in New York, with one source telling Fightful he would become a “fixture.”
Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline is now reporting, that the New York Knicks are collaborating with WWE and TKO for Danhausen to be part of the team’s celebration parade. In addition, there is a documentary planned for YouTube that will include Danhausen.
“The Danhausen/Knicks deal is being put together by TKO. WWE cameras will be at the parade, and they will likely be putting together a Knicks/Danhausen documentary for YouTube.”
Alvarez also added that WWE is working on getting several Knicks players, plus the teams coach for the next Saturday Night’s Main Event which is set for Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 18.
“At least one Knick is confirmed for SNME. They’re trying to get several more, plus their coach.”
WWE has already launched new Danhausen/New York Knicks Merchandise available on WWE’s Shop.com website.
Danhausen sat courtside for Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden, which was the only game that the Knicks lost after uncursing them.
