All Japan star Joe Doering has surgery to treat brain cancer

All Japan star Joe Doering announced on Tuesday that he was recently diagonsed with a stage 3 brain tumor in late February and had surgery to remove the tumor in early March. Doering noted that he will be beginning chemotherapy and radiation treatment next week over the course of six weeks in an attempt to make a complete recovery from brain cancer. Doering said that he hopes to eventually make a return to in-ring action for All Japan.

Doering has been one of the bigger foreign stars in Japan not affilated with New Japan over the last several years, becoming only the sixth foreigner to win the All Japan Triple Crown in 2014. Doering had also been under a WWE developmental deal back in 2010, but was released after an eight-month stay.

On behalf of the staff at Wrestleview.com, we send out our get well wishes to Doering and hope he makes a full recovery.
