AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT Ratings: AEW viewership rises while NXT drops again

AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT ratings for May 20, 2020 are now in.

AEW Dynamite, going head-to-head against WWE NXT, drew an average of 701,000 viewers on Wednesday night according to a report by Showbuzzdaily.com.

This is up from last week’s show that drew an average of 654,000 viewers on TNT. Dynamite came in at No. 7 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, up from No. 15 where they placed last week.

This week’s episode of NXT drew an average of 592,000 viewers on Wednesday night.

This is down from last week’s show that averaged 604,000 viewers. NXT came in at No. 53 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, down from No. 46 where they placed last week.

In overall viewership, AEW Dynamite defeated WWE NXT in the twenty-first head-to-head battle of 2020 in the “Wednesday Night War” by 109,000 viewers.

WWE NXT, headlined by Rhea Ripley vs. Io Shirai, averaged a 0.13 rating among adults 18-49. This is down from the 0.15 rating they had last week.

AEW Dynamite, headlined by Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara, averaged a 0.26 rating among adults 18-49. This is up from the 0.23 rating they had last week.
