According to F4WOnline, AEW color commentator Excalibur is scheduled to return on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. He reportedly was scheduled to return last week, but did not. There is no reason as why his return was further delayed.
Excalibur has been off of AEW television over the last several weeks and replaced by Taz and Chris Jericho. Neither Excalibur nor AEW have addressed his absence.
It is believed that AEW removed him from television so he did not become a distraction after a 17-year-old angle from Pro Wrestling Guerrilla re-surfaced online where he used racial slurs. Kevin Steen (Owens), Human Tornado, and Disco Machine were also involved in those videos.
Excalibur has been a part of the AEW announce team alongside Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone since the company’s first event.
