Former WWE Superstar Rusev made his surprise AEW debut during Wednesday night’s live episode of Dynamite on TNT.
Kip Sabian announced his best man for his upcoming wedding with Penelope Ford. After Sabian teased it to be Brian Pillman Jr., he revealed his best man to be Rusev, who is now going by Miro.
Miro cut a promo about being in the same house for ten years and never breaking through the glass ceiling. During his promo the fans chanted “Miro Day!” with Miro telling the fans he liked the sound of that.
Resev (Miroslav Barnyashev) was released from WWE this past April due to financial cuts as a result of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
AEW confirmed on Twitter (see below) that Miro is officially signed to a contract with the company.
Miro’s real-life wife, current WWE Superstar Lana (CJ Perry) also responded to her husband’s AEW debut, with the response – “SHOOK”
