Update on Christian Cage; More on Bobby Fish’s AEW contract not being renewed

Update on Christian Cage

According to the Wrestling Observer, AEW star Christian Cage is believed to have torn triceps, which is why his victory over Jungle Boy at Sunday’s All Out PPV was short.

The belief is that Cage will be out for 6 to 9 months.

More on Bobby Fish’s AEW contract

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Bobby Fish and AEW officials failed to agree on financial terms before his contract ended on August 31.

The report notes that Fish and AEW had entered into talks about possibly renewing his deal, and there was some interest with both Fish and AEW continuing the relationship. However, the two sides could not come to terms financially.

Fightful Select also notes AEW thought the split was amicable until Fish sent out tweets criticizing CM Punk’s in-ring work, which came after Punk’s match with Jon Moxley on the August 24 episode of Dynamite.

It was further noted that there were issues with Fish and Punk while Fish, but those issues reportedly did not have anything to do with Fish’s contract not being renewed.
