AEW Rampage SPOILERS: Matches taped to air this Friday (9/16) on TNT

AEW taped the following matches for the September 16 episode of AEW Rampage on Wednesday night in Albany, New York, after Dynamite went off the air.

-Darby Allin def. Matt Hardy; after the match, Brody King appears after the lights turned off and came back on. He attacked Hardy and challenged Allin and Sting to a match at Grand Slam.

-Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler YUTA are in the ring with Tony Schiavone. Castagnoli discusses the looming title match between Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley. Chris Jericho interrupts and says the ROH World Championship is the one world title he hasn’t held yet. He challenges Castagnoli to a title match at Grand Slam, and Castagnoli accepts.

-TBS Champion Jade Cargill says there’s no one left to beat, but Diamanté interrupts and challenges her to a match next week.

-Penelope Ford def. Willow Nightingale

-Ethan Page (with Stokely Hathaway) def. Danhausen

ROH World Television Championship: Samoa Joe (c) def. Josh Woods; after the match, Woods and Tony Nese attack Joe, but Wardlow makes the save to set up a tag team match for next week.

Tony Khan came out right before Rampage started, Tony Khan came out and said they have some of the best wrestlers in the world and said that they’ve got thousands of the best wrestling fans in the world in the house.

Chris Jericho came out and heeled the crowd.

After they went off the air, Joe took the mic and thanked Albany, NY, then put over Wardlow.  He said they both like to kick tons of ass, so next week they team up and go after everyone Mark Sterling has.  The crowd chanted, “WardJoe.”  He said that the battle cry has been heard and they will bring war to every building they come to.  Joe signed off and said “We run things now.”

Ian Riccaboni was with the announcers for the final match.
