The altercation began after CM Punk made derogatory comments about The Elite (referring to them as “EVP’s” during the All Out Media Scrum. A fight broke out backstage with Punk, The Young Bucks, Ace Steel and Omega. It was reported that Steel pulled Omega’s hair and then bit him.

Omega and the Bucks were stripped of the AEW World Trios Championships, which they had won at the All Out pay-per-view. A match was then held on the Dynamite following All Out to crown new champions, which is now Death Triangle. CM Punk, who is current out of action for eight months with torn triceps, was stripped of the AEW World Title. As a result Omega, The Bucks, Steel, along with were all suspended. AEW held a tournament of champions to determine who will be crowned the AEW World Champion. This Wednesday at AEW Grand Slam held at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York, Blackpool Combat Club members Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson will square off, with the winner being crowned as the new World Champion.

The suspensions for Pat Buck, Michael Nakazawa, Brandon Cutler, and Christopher Daniels were recently lifted. However, Omega and The Young Bucks still remain suspended as there is an on-going third party investigation.
