Thunder Rosa to work non-wrestling roles within AEW

Former AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa took to Twitter to Tuesday to announce that she will be part of the AEW Spanish language broadcast team and will also be an on-screen personality. She is still recovering from her back injury that has kept her out of action for the past six months.

F4WOnline notes that Rosa had joined the Spanish language broadcast team for last week’s Dynamite in El Paso, Texas. It was also said there was no indication at that point whether it would be longer than just a one time appearance.

As of this writing, there is no timeline as to when Rosa will return to in-ring action. She and AEW came to an agreement last August for her to relinquish the AEW Women’s Title just a few weeks of her scheduled title defense against Toni Storm at the All Out PPV, due to the injury. However, at the time, it was unclear just how severe it was.

Last December, Rosa had revealed she was able to walk and jog a 5K and lift weights.
