AEW’s Tony Schiavone announces a new signing

According to AEW senior producer and special advisor to talent Tony Schiavone, the company has signed 18-year-old Billie Starkz.

Schiavone made the announcement during the April 11 episode of his What Happened When podcast with Conrad Thompson. Schiavone said “Speaking of 18-year-olds, we just signed another 18-year-old. Billie Starkz, the girl that wrestled Jade.”

Starkz was unsuccessful in capturing the TBS Title from Jade Cargill during last Friday night’s Battle of the Belts VI. She made her AEW debut during an episode of Dark last December. She is currently has an 0-7 record in AEW and 1-1 record in ROH.

As of this writing, there has been no official announcement for Tony Khan.

The news of the Starkz signing came up when Schiavone was talking about the July Dynamite debut of 17-year-old Nick Wayne, who will debut on the July 12 episode of Dynamite, just days after he turns 18. During last Saturday’s DEFY Wrestling event in Seattle, WA Wayne defeated Swerve to become the new DEFY Wrestling Champion.
