The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion previously expressed a desire to compete at AEW’s All In event when it comes to Wembley Stadium on August 27, and according to Dave Meltzer it is looking very likely there is a plan in the works.
As stated on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer is unsure who Will’s opponent is, but that the New Japan star is in fact booked.
One possibility is Kenny Omega, who is the current reigning IWGP United States Champion after defeating Ospreay at Wrestle Kingdom 17 in January at the Tokyo Dome.
Ospreay has a chance to get back in the title hunt as he takes on Hiroshi Tanahashi at Resurgence on May 21 as part of a tournament to determine a new number one contender. Defeating Tanahashi would line Ospreay up against Lance Archer at Dominion on June 4, with the winner earning his shot at the title in the future.
