AEW Dynamite segment reportedly originally hinted at MJF’s next title challenger

According of F4WOnline, a segment that took place on this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite was reportedly originally going to drop a hint about MJF’s next title program.

Renee Paquette attempted to interview MJF backstage when MJF slapped the microphone out of her hands. It is also being said that the segment was not what was initially scheduled.

Reportedly, the original plan was for an in-ring promo segment with MJF, his opponents for Double or Nothing, and Britt Baker, who has been referred to as a “Pillar of AEW”, similar to MJF, Jungle Boy, Sammy Guevara, and Darby Allin.

It was further noted Baker was supposed to hint that even if MJF retains the title on the pay-per-view, Adam Cole will be waiting for him.

The speculation is a possible reason for the change is AEW not wanting fans to think MJF retaining at the PPV is a certainty.
