Update on the current status of two top AEW stars

Former AEW World Trios Champion PAC, who has been out of action since March, is gearing up for a return to AEW in the near future, according to a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Meltzer noted that PAC had been away from the ring to fix a nose injury, but should be returning soon.

PAC suffered a broken nose at AEW Full Gear last November, but wrestled through the injury up until the final match in a best of seven series for the trios titles between Death Triangle and The Elite, a ladder match in January that saw Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks defeat PAC, Penta 0M and Rey Fenix to win the championship.

PAC last wrestled in March, appearing twice for OTT Wrestling at their ScrapperMania weekend of events.

In addition, Meltzer has reported that Santana is getting closer to a return to the ring after being sidelined for nearly a year, sustaining an injury during the Blood & Guts match on the 6/29 edition of Dynamite.

Fightful Select initially reported that Santana is still with AEW, with the company continuing to pay him throughout his absence.

Meltzer also made note of the reported falling out between Santana and Ortiz, the latter having not been on AEW programming since competing in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match back in March, indicating an uncertainty of where Santana will slot in once he returns.
