Matt Jackson reportedly obtained special license for Double or Nothing spot

AEW Double or Nothing saw Anarchy in the Arena for its main event, a four-on-four clash between The Elite (Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks) and the Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli) that saw chaos, brutality, and–well, anarchy–all throughout T-Mobile Arena and even outside thanks to a spot between Matt Jackson and Claudio Castagnoli involving a piledriver on a pickup truck bed.

Jackson also performed a superkick accentuated with explosions on Jon Moxley, while Mox had Nick Jackson in a single-leg crab.

According to a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Matt was required to obtain a fire performer license from the state of Nevada, noting that Matt came up with the spot roughly a month ago.

The spot comes across as something of a callback to multiple moments from past AEW shows. The Young Bucks had previously added some form of weaponry to their their footwear for further brutality against certain rivals, notably putting thumbtacks at the bottom of their shoes in a match against the Lucha Bros inside a steel cage at All Out 2021.

The explosion also seems like a possible callback to Mox’s participation in an Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch against Kenny Omega at Revolution the same year, a match that infamously did not go as many anticipated.
