CM Punk, who was recently announced as returning to All Elite Wrestling as part of the launch of AEW Collision on June 17, has already made his return to television…on FX.
Last night’s episode of Mayans M.C. saw Punk reprise his role of military veteran Paul, a character created specifically for the former AEW World Champion.
In addition, Punk will return to the show Heels for its second season as Ricky Rabies, a character based in part on the late Tracy Smothers as a tribute to the wrestling legend.
The new season of Heels premieres on STARZ on July 28.
Punk’s return to AEW will be in the main event of the debut episode of Collision, when he teams with AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR in a trios match against Samoa Joe and Bullet Club Gold.
