AEW star claims he and his father are out of AAA for the second time

AEW star RUSH and his father Bestia del Ring have supposedly left the Lucha Libre AAA WorldWide promotion, for the second time.

On June 10, RUSH took to Twitter, posting a message stating that he and his father have left AAA for the second time and are now completely independent. He then said to his tag team partner, LA Park, that until a real promoter sits down and gives them a contract, he will know it’s real. He concluded by saying, until then everything else will be “promises” and that he is fed up.

“For the second time, my father (Bestia del Ring) and RUSH are out of AAA. We are completely independent!

Adolfo Tapia Ibarra (LA Park), you and I don’t need a roulette nor any tomfoolery, and the people are not dumb. The day a real promoter sits down with us and they give us a contract to sign, then that is when you, the fans, and myself will know it’s real.

Only until then, everything else will be “promises” & I am fed the f**k up”

Rush, who is a former ROH World Champion, signed a full-time deal with AEW last September. He was scheduled to wrestle at next month’s Triplemania in Tijuana.

Luchablog noted on Twitter that Rush was scheduled to team with LA Park against Psycho Clown & Sam Adonis in Tijuana, where the losing team would have a hair vs mask match in August. Luchablog also notes that Omega/Vikingo is a big outside of Mexico, but that tag match (and the possibility of Park/Rush) was the big ticket seller.

In responding to a fan, Luchablog also noted this does not mean that Rush would be allowed to wrestle at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2 PPV on June 25. According to F4WOnline, this is due to an arrangement NJPW has with CMLL and AAA, in which talent are not allowed to appear on those kinds of shows.

As of this writing, Lucha Libre AAA WorldWide has not commented on Rush’s claims of departure.
