AEW President Tony Khan spoke with John Pollock and Brandon Thurston for POST Wrestling recently, where he was asked about the status of the quarterly Battle of the Belts specials and how that will be affected by the launch of AEW Collision on Saturday nights.
Confirming that the specials will continue, Khan stated:
“As for where the next Battle of the Belts episode will run on TNT, whether it will be a Friday or a Saturday, it’s a great question, and still talking about that. We’ll have a good answer for you on that soon.”
Khan was also asked on his approach to handling Collision, he described taking aspects of the working formula AEW has already established, adding:
“…But I also want to create a distinct show with a distinct identity, and I really believe we can do that with Collision and present a great wrestling show every Saturday night, starting this week.”
