According to a report from Fightful Select, John Hennigan (formerly WWE Superstar John Morrison) has signed with AEW. He internally going forward will be called Johnny Television or Johnny TV. He returned to the company during Wednesday night’s Rampage taping in a segment featuring The Acclaimed, aligning with QT Marshall and the QTV crew.
Morrison was released from WWE back in November 2021. In addition to making a previous appearance in AEW back on the May 27, 2022 episode of Dynamite, in a loss to Samoa Joe, he also wrestled for MLW and GCW. He is married to AEW star Taya Valkyrie.
Fightful also noted that Hennigan’s return was initially planned for Dynamite, but was moved to Rampage in order to give the segment more television time.
