MJF makes AEW history as World Champion

AEW star MJF has made company history.

As of Wednesday, November 1, MJF is officially now the longest-reigning AEW World Champion in company history, having held the title for 347 days.

MJF has now passed Kenny Omega, who held the title for 346 days.

MJF captured the title from Jon Moxley at the 2022 Full Gear PPV bac on November 19, 2022. MJF is scheduled to defend the title against Jay White at this year’s Full Gear on Saturday, November 18.

He is still one-half of the Ring World Tag Team Champions. His partner Adam Cole is currently out of action following ankle surgery from an injury that took place back at September’s Grand Slam Dynamite special.

Cole required two surgeries, eight screws, and a plate to fix his ankle injury.
