AEW star CJ Perry revealed in a Instagram post she ended up fighting a fatal infection from a small splinter.
“I have been in the hospital since Saturday fighting a fatal infection that came from getting a small splinter backstage at work this past Wednesday. Please keep me in your prayers. And everyone really take care of any cuts you get. As small as a splinter can turn into a deadly infection. Love all of you guys and thank you to everyone who has reached out.”
Perry did undergo successful surgery for the infection. Perry ended up in the ER, a hospital stay of over 50 hours and then surgery, as the infection became worse
Last Saturday, CJ Perry revealed on X that she developed an infection in her finger that went up to arm. This resulted in Perry not making her CMLL debut on Friday and also missing Saturday’s AEW Collision.
