Kamille has no comment on her current status with AEW

While doing an interview to promote her role in the new “Queen of the Ring” film, Kamille had no comment when asked about her current status with AEW.

Kamille and her co-star Damaris Lewis spoke with WrestleZone’s Bill Pritchard about the new film. During the course of interview, Kamille was asked about an update on when she might return to AEW programming, Kamille did not answer. However, Lewis answered on behalf of Kamille in PR fashion by saying, “My client has chosen not to comment on the matter at hand, but we are open for more questions.”

Kamille was in New York City this past Tuesday night for a premiere screening of The film. She was joined by current and former WWE stars and current AEW stars. Naomi, Jimmy Uso, Trish Stratus, Lita, Madusa, Jazz, Daria Berenato (Sonya Deville), Athena, Skye Blue, Deonna Purrazzo, Julia Hart, Queen Aminata, and Prince Nana were among those who also attended the screening.

AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm also stars in the film, playing the role of Clara Mortensen. The film’s director Ash Avildsen made an appearance on Wednesday night’s Dynamite in backstage interview with Lexy Nair that included a short promo for the film by Storm.

The film opens in theaters on Friday, March 7.

Kamille is a former NWA Women’s World Champion, having held the title for 818 days. Her last appearance on AEW programming was last November, after she told Mercedes Mone’ that she quit as her personal bodyguard. Kamille has only wrestled six matches for AEW after she signed a deal with the company in early 2024.
