Deadline is reporting that the Disney+ series Percy Jackson And The Olympians, featuring AEW star Adam Copeland has received a very early Season 3 renewal. Copeland plays the ‘Ares the God of War’ in the series.
The report notes the second season recently wrapped up production and is scheduled to premiere this December. It is said that the third season will focus on the third book in Rick Riordan’s best-selling series, The Titan’s Curse.
Riordan is the creator of the series. It was added that Riordan has already expressed his desire to tell each book’s story in one full season of television, as lengthy gaps between seasons would potentially put the series in a scenario where their stars appear much older than the characters they are portraying.
He issued the following statement to Deadline:
“We’re so grateful to be continuing the story of Percy Jackson on Disney+. This third season will be new territory for the screen, bringing fan favorites like the Hunters of Artemis and Nico di Angelo to life for the first time. It’s a huge sign of commitment from Disney, and speaks volumes about the enthusiasm with which the fandom has embraced the TV show. Thank you, demigods worldwide!”
Copeland is scheduled to challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship Street Fight Match on the 3/19 episode of Dynamite in Liberty First Credit Union Arena in Ralston, Nebraska, 15 minutes southwest of Omaha.
