Fightful Select has released a report looking at the in-ring debut for Brodie Lee Jr.
The son of the late Brodie Lee competed in the GCW Clusterf–k match taking place during WrestleMania week, winning the match after last eliminating Joey Janela.
The report notes that the appearance came about earlier in the day, when UK prospect Man Like Deriess ran into Brodie Jr., who asked about his plans for the evening.
When asked jokingly if he wanted to be in the match, Brodie replied he did, before getting permission from his mother.
GCW promoter Brett Lauderdale contacted Janela about the appearance, at which point Janela immediately said Brodie should win.
The report also details that the Brodie Jr. has been training at the Dungeon 2.0, becoming a beloved face at the school and wanting to make sure he reflected well on them in his first proper in-ring appearance.
Lee, whose father held the TNT Championship prior to his passing in late 2020, made occasional appearances on AEW and ROH programming as “Negative One” within the ranks of the Dark Order faction.
