Injury forces creative change to AEW Women’s World Tag Team Title Tournament

A legitimate injury has forced a creative change to the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Title Tournament.

Penelope Ford revealed during a backstage interview segment, she suffered a torn UCL in her right arm following a moonsault in a Four-Way Match that aired on the 10/25 episode of Collision that was taped last Wednesday. Ford, wearing a sling, said she will be out of action indefinitely.

During the interview, Tony Schiavone then asked Megan Bayne where this leaves her and what her plan is. Bayne then put out the challenge to any woman to join her and she will decide who is bad enough to join her and who is worthy. Marina Shafir then walked in and offered to be her partner. Jon Moxley then popped out from behind the curtain giving his approval.

Bayne and Shafir then fist bumped. They will wrestle TayJay (Anna Jay and Tay Melo) in a first round match that has not been announced at the time of this writing.
