According to Fightful Select, an AEW source has indicated that Anna Jay’s contract with the company is believed to be expiring within the next few months.
At the time of Fightful Select’s report, there is no confirmation as to whether Jay and AEW have entered formal discussions regarding an extension. It was added that another source noted that they expect AEW will make an effort to keep her should the situation allow it.
Additionally, Jay reportedly enjoys teaming up with Tay Melo. Together they are currently known as TayJay. Furthermore it was added Jay and Melo are said to be close both on a personal and professional level. Jay has been described as a talent that is open to “doing what’s right for her career,” which would include looking at free-agency options, if it comes to that next step.
TayJay was recently eliminated by Marina Shafir and Megan Bayne from the tournament to crown the first-ever AEW Women’s World Tag-Team Champions. That match took place on the special Wednesday night episode of Collision.
