During a recent interview with All Axxess Entertainment, Tony Chimel revealed that he is no longer with AEW. The former longtime WWE ring announcer joined AEW back in 2023 as a producer.
“I always had a good time there. They’re a little smaller operation and run things a little differently, but the people there are nice,” he said. “I knew a lot of WWE people there that are there now. It was a nice little run that I had there. Very grateful for the time I had there. They do their thing the way they want to do their thing.”

Chimel was let go by WWE back in 2020 as part of budget cuts due to the COVID-19 pandemic, effectively ending his 37-year tenure with the company.
